Got a bonus at work today. Apparently there was some money left over in the budget, so the VP told each supervisor that they could give a bonus to someone in their department and my supervisor chose me, 1) Because I didn't get a raise this year since I had only been there a month when raises were given out and 2) Because I've been doing an awesome job. So yay, now I have money to pay for the movers who are coming on Saturday. This whole thing reminds me of the episode of "Clarissa Explains It All", where she goes over the differences between school and the real world. When you do a good job in school: Extra gold stars. When you do a good job in the real world: Extra money.
