I've been here a year now. This week. It's... strange, because it went by so quickly. I still remember the night I arrived. All the furniture in Horton was...flying around...

[A few heavy coughs go here.]...might be coming down with something. It's ok; I'll just stay in my apartment and sleep it

[Hello there, Sunao. Shinkohyo here, staring you down.]

Do you need some water, Sunao...?

Water...

[She tilts her head oddly, as though straining to hear something.]

Mmh. I guess I am thirsty...alright.

[Action]

[He goes through the simple motions of fetching a glass and puring water from a container for her. His large gloves nearly cover the glass entirely]

You do not look well. It would be disappointing if you fell ill so randomly.

Randomly? No, it's... I knew I was going to.

[She has one palm against her forehead, fingers splayed. The other reaches up to grasp the cup without even looking.

...and the water explodes outward up into the air above them, in the shape of the wing. Then lands back into the cup--which Sunao promptly drops. She jumps to her feet and stares, horrified.]

But... I didn't...

You knew...? Did you fall ill on purpose? What for?

[Shinkohyo's eyes widen at the sudden burst of water. Pretty as it was, it alarmed him and he retracted, stepping back to face it. Though, as soon as he did it seemed to be gone]

Your water appears possessed, Sunao.

[Action]

[Speaking of possessed. Even from the floor, the water curls around the cup in the shape of two angel wings instead of one. Sunao stares at it with unblinking, feverish eyes, almost possessed looking. She stumbles back.]

I thought it would be different because.

[Her eyes glaze mid-sentence. She looks at the door, obviously not talking to Shinkohyo now.]

What do you want me to do? I hear you...

[Shinkohyo parts his lips a moment only to close them again. He watches the young human in their mindless ramble with the water. Watching the wings while they appear. Maybe Sunao is far more ill than they let on.]

... Oh. Oh...you're right. I can't cause damage if I go, so I'll go.

[Sunao then turns to Shinkohyo, barely able to see him and manages to say.]

I have to go... [And then takes off outside despite the late hour. If Shinkohyo follows, she's running unsteadily and is oddly being followed by bits of water...raindrops, puddles, drops from the eaves of roofs.]

You're leaving so soon?

[Well, this isn't strange at all. Sunao just said they were staying inside and yet there s/he goes. Without a second thought, he decides to follow, keeping up rather well considering his baggy clothing. It was hard to not notice the water joining him but he says nothing and continues]

[Luckily Shinkohyo can move fast. Sunao jumps from a fast walk to a run the second she gets down the stairway. Despite being sick and unsteady, she can't stand the rising pulse of the power within her. Not when it might rise or strike out on its own.

It reminded her of...of... except a name didn't come to her. Just a face and a memory.

She tore savagely to the left and ended up in the twisty shadows of Horizon park. Here she stops and stares up at the leafless branches, her eyes wide and confused. This wasn't the way to the safehouse.

Glistening rivulets of water are slowly revolving around her in lazy circles. Quite a bit has gathered now.]

[Looking in from the edge of the park, Shinkohyo simply watches Sunao as the water gathers about him. It wasn't so much concern as curiosity that kept him there. Why was the water acting so strangely around Sunao and why had the human gone ill? Questions lead to more questions which only left Shinkohyo on the edge of his invisible seat]

[Between the swirls of water and exaggerated shadows of the branches, Sunao catches sight of a familiar person. Her body goes stiff with worry. Oddly, so does the water. It curls up behind her in the shape of a hooked scythe with a sharp point. It's level, aimed at Shinkohyo, though Sunao doesn't seem threatened at all...only startled and upset.]

Shin...kohyo. No! Go back to the apartment!

[He doesn't listen at first and simply cocks his head. His dull eyes catch sight of the water weapon and he slowly steps away, eyes fixed on the scythe. The clown starts walking away quicker but is curious if he could still watch, perhaps from a further spot. He pretends to leave but instead hides, curious if the water knows better or not.

Also curious what Sunao and the water are up to.]

[Oh, the water knows better or not. Sunao turns her back on the (hiding) Shinkohyo, but the water floats closer to him--and starts to swing down to slice his hiding place apart (and maybe him too.)]

What...? No... NO!

[There's an odd flash of light at that panicked sound. The clown might notice that the attack has ceased. The water seems to be gone from his location entirely.

If he looks where Sunao was standing, though, he will see something odd. A glimmering, bubble shaped barrier of water, almost opaque. A pair of water-shaped wings juts out of its back. If he draws closer, he may be able to see Sunao inside. She'll be passed out, splayed on her back and quite dead to the world.

Bits of water are still circling just beyond the barrier. Unfortunately, her power isn't shut in there with her.]

[Just mist the ball on his clown hattie hat hat. Shinkohyo's eyes dart to the light, seeing the water dome. He makes a few steps towards it but getting no closer. Shinkohyo stands there for quite sometime until there is no more unusual movement. He parts away, eventually making his way back to the apartment before daybreak]
