When a person's frequency goes dark, that means they're gone, doesn't it?

... Shirou-kun. [A long pause here.]It's too bad, I wanted the chance to know him better. I'll wish him good luck... from what he did tell me, it sounds like he'll need it back home ( Read more... )

regrets, melody blue, shirou kamui, the water is silent, a present for a friend, one friend gone

I admit I wonder if they return safely or not. The evidence indicates they do, but...

I wonder if they remember...

'Evidence?' You mean, if they come back? Does that happen?

Yeah...I guess I did.

... Are you gonna be okay?

I'll be okay. I'll miss him, but I'm sure he's alright where he comes from.

Are you okay?

Uh... [Sigh] Yeah...

It's not something that you ever really get used to, in this place.

You just have to hope for the best, in the end.

The way people come and go here... if they'd give us a warning, we could at least say goodbye.

... When I think about it, you don't always get that chance, even...

No, you're right. 'Hoping for the best,' is something that he might need, and the rest isn't anything I can change.

I think that even if we had that kind of chance... it would still be hard. Goodbyes can be pretty sad.

Mm...

You know, Fujiwara-kun... even though we can lose friends in this place for as long as they disappear, we are still able to make them too. This city gives us that chance, and it would be even more depressing if we ended up forgetting all about that. ...don't you think so?

I'm home...

You have something for me? What is it?

mizu_isei November 14 2009, 01:10:36 UTC
Okay... I'll be there in a minute or two. It's a surprise.

[And there's a Sunao knocking on your door with a squarish package under one arm. It's wrapped in worn, faded paper, and could be anything really. And Sunao is smiling, though there's something sad about the expression.]

A surprise? C'moooon. Teeeeell meee! [Doesn't want to wait]

[Melody sighs when she realizes she isn't going to get an answer. After a moment there is knocking.]

I'll get it!

[After rushing tot he door, she opens it with a smile]

Sunao-san! That was quick. Come in... [And she opens he door completely, her eyes glowing on the box]

[Nope, it's definitely a surprise. Sunao doesn't say anything at all until Melody lets her in. She slips inside, looking a bit more disheveled and dusty than usual. An afternoon of rooting around the shopping district will do that.]

I was already close by... do you want your present now?

[Sunao holds the box up just over Melody's head. If the girl grabs it and looks inside, there would be a pretty, ankle length blue dress with a white sash and trim. It's a little too big for Melody around the shoulders, and a tiny bit frayed on the bottom, but otherwise it's in nice condition considering Discedo's usual.]

...Yeah, that's what it means when the frequency's gone.

Someone you knew left too? I don't know if I ever met him...

Shirou Kamui? He seemed a little quiet, so I'm not sure if you did.

Probably not. There are so many people here, I guess...

I wonder how many people go like that, without me even noticing.
