AN: The ending seems super rushed, -sighs-  Anyway, looking for a beta reader if anyone is interested, but I have no clue how the actual things works so...yeah, enjoy!

“I really hate children vampires,” Alfred grumbled as he flicked up the collar, he couldn’t help but frown a bit in the mirror. He did feel rather stupid wearing the costume he was, but it was the perfect way for him to be a vampire and get away with it. That or cover himself in glitter, which there was no way in hell he was going. “No offence Xai.”

There was a bit silence on the other side of the line. “None taken.” An accented voice came from the phone. Alfred rolled his eyes, he couldn’t tell if Xai was telling the truth or not. “You hate the crazy ones.”

Alfred couldn’t help but give a loud laugh at the comment because it was true. Every child vampire back in the community were little sweethearts, who where indeed smart, but they were still children. They had the ability to never grow up and they embraced it when they needed to. Most of the children stay in the community, less a “family” decides to leave the Community for the world; a child might tag along to make it look more realistic. However the crazy ones were usually ones who knew nothing about the community. The learned how to bend society to their will and create the worst sob stories that made even the hardest man feel sorry for them.

That of course makes them hard to get too most of the time and try as Alfred might it’s still weird for him to start talking to them. He can’t even observe correctly like he can with other vampires. Standing and glaring a school is a red flag for most people. Especially in a small town where everyone knows each other. “This one is an extra side of brat as well.”

“Not much you can do about that, he was from a rich, southern, plantain owner family.” Xai said, before he perked up a bit, Alfred almost heard excitement in his voice. “Remember to send me a picture when you’re all dressed up.”

“Fuck off!” Alfred snapped hearing a snort form the other end of the phone before the other end hung up. There was no why in hell Alfred was taking it a picture of himself in that outfit.

He frowned at the mirror again. He was quiet sure no vampire in their right mind ever wore an outfit like the one he was wearing. For a second he hated Hollywood for creating such an image of vampires as cloak wearing, extremely out of date cloths, pale, high collared freaks that lived in coffins. Of course that was how some got Peace of Mind, but it wasn’t many. He flashed himself a toothy smile, his fangs very clear and this time he wouldn’t have to hide them.

Once he was finished getting ready he grabbed his phone and raced out of the bathroom. Alfred took into town, ready to blend in with the others at the Vampire walk the high school was throwing at the school and in the forest. He had a vampire to catch.

----  ----  ----
“It’s only the teachers, and some of their kids dressed up, Mels, so stop worrying.” A brown haired jock said to his petit girlfriend who was gripping his arm while Arthur was trying not to kill himself.

“I know, but the Luther twins were creepy as fuck!” The girlfriend said with a whiny voice.

“I second that!” Some girl behind them said. All her friends were huddling around her all spooked by two twin girls tilting their heads at the same time and finishing each other sentences.

Arthur has seen way worse in his life time. He had seen twin vampires before and they were creeper than fuck. They weren’t even children, but they were all the other had had, and that was what made them creepy. That and maybe the fact that they had flung body parts around with such glee at their work. Everything the teens were experience, Arthur was sure he’s seen ten times worse. Then again he had seen his boyfriend tear apart a vampire and though it was rather beautiful. The Englishman was trained to see weird things than what people say in haunted houses.

He led his group through the forest by the high school, all along the little marked path. Teachers, and a few of their children, or people who volunteered, jumped out of bushes and startled everyone. Arthur’s been through the track ten times, and he knew where everyone was, and was completely unphased as he threw water and garlic at them with words “be gone” and watched them shrivel away. It’s boring and completely unlike his work, and he can only hope this night pays off at it wasn’t just a cry of wolf to get them there and help out.

They near the location of where the principle is hiding and Arthur doesn’t hear any rustling in the bushes. The principle of the school was a somewhat large man, Arthur always heard him moving about, but this time there was nothing. He stopped and signaled the group to do so as well. They did so awkwardly, whispering a bit to each other as Arthur strained his ears.
“Jeremy is missing from his post.” Ludwig’s voice suddenly came over the radio, obviously whispered as to not alert the group he was with.

“Principle is missing as well.” Arthur whispered as he slowly stepped forward. He signaled the group to stay as he stepped forward.

He crept towards the man’s spot, before he slipped by the tree the man usually crutched behind. Arthur landed hard on his back, and some of the guys laughed. Arthur let out a growl before he saw the sight above him. It cleared up what the hell Arthur had slipped on. There on the branch hung the principle, dripping with the little blood left in his system. Blood seemed to be dripping down from his neck, arms, and legs. The English hunter quickly got to his feet. He might be trained to such sights, but the group he was with wasn’t.

He turned to the group finding them all looking rather freaked out in the pale moonlight. All their eyes seemed glued just past him, the guys had stopped the chuckling and they really looked freaked.

“I’ve never smelt blood so sweet,” A childish voice said behind him, a familiar, childish voice.

The hunter whipped around to find Jeremy, a friend of Hunter’s Smith’s son, James, with a smirk on his face. His brown eyes are glowing, his silly costume covered in blood. Arthur’s hand quickly flew to his gun and he cocked it with trained ease, slowly stepping back towards the group. “Don’t make eye contact!” Arthur shouted at them, his own eyes looking but never meeting the vampires eyes.

“This is really creepy as fuck, how the fuck did he even get there?!” Another girl said in a squeaky annoying voice.

Jeremy took a small step forward, tilting his head just so. Arthur can almost tell all the possible ways he could kill Arthur running though his head, and there isn’t one that the boy can’t go through with. “It’s almost makes me think of candy.” The boy said, “Why doesn’t it smell so sweet?”

A whine came from the group, the whole group. There was no way it was even possible for what was happening in front of them to be fake. Arthur holds his stance, it his group runs, they run, and he can only hope that Jeremy is not newly turned because that means there’s still another in the forest somewhere. Suddenly there’s a collective scream.

Arthur would have kept his gaze fixed and stayed as he was trained to be, had arms not wrapped around his person. His green eyes widened, and he was ready to snap at whoever was gripping him to let go and suck up their fear. Then his mind registered the hold was not gripping fear, it was tender and full of love. A familiar chuckle came to his ears, and he felt a tongue run along his neck, causing him to blush.

“Artie, here, is very special,” The American accent voice said, the hold tightening slightly. “He can see right through our little tricks.” Jeremy’s eyes narrowed and he let out a hiss. “You are so naïve for your age.”

“You’re becoming an annoyance.” Jeremy growled.

“Good to hear!” Alfred suddenly said cheerily as he released Arthur and waltzed in front of the Englishman a bit. Arthur turned to him to find him wearing a ridiculous Dracula costume, high collar and all the usual works aside from the slicked back hair. “That means I’m doing my job. Now I would like to continue doing it. Yao would not be happy if I lost to a brat like you.”
“You’re the brat.” Jeremy snapped. “You’re so young and yet you think you have more power over me.”

“But you see I do have more power over you.” Alfred said with such ease it made Arthur wonder how can still be attracted to the American sometimes. “A simple, uncharmed bullet won’t kill me.” In a quick motion had whipped out a gun, “and you made the first deadly mistake.”

“What is that?” The jock from the group asked with a gulp.

“Looking me in the eye,” Alfred said pulling the trigger on the gun. Jeremy’s eyes widened, but the bullet found a home in his head and he toppled to the floor dead. Alfred spun around with a gleeful look on his face. “Now that that is done, I can finally enjoy Halloween.” His eyes were shining a brilliant blue as he spoke

The teens screamed and ran back the way they came. Arthur turned to the American with a raised eyebrow. “What the bloody hell did you do?”

“Made them forget everything, and see me snatch you away out of nowhere.” Alfred said with a shrug. “I also made them run away.”

“Git.” Arthur snapped, before he turned to the limp body on the forest floor a distance away from them. “So Jeremy was the vampire all along.”

Alfred gave a nod. “Uses really old stupid methods of hiding, but the kid made it work for at least two hundred years.” Alfred grinned. “Now, I best be going,” and with that he was gone, leaving Arthur to stare into the forest.

AN: So that is the Halloween!fic for this AU.  I'm so sorry for the rather rushed ending, my idea's failed me.  I thought it was rather good, but looking back at it now, I'm so not impressed at all.

Okay, so Vampires rather like Halloween because it's the one day they don't have to pretend to fit in.  The idea of dressing up on Halloween is  a belief that all the demons and such come out to play on that one day at it's the only way one can blend in.  So Vampires don't have to trick people.  Jeremy is the child vampire, and he is too far gone for Alfred to bring him back to the community.  Usually if a child vampire is taken to the community early enough they don't go crazy and they become little sweethearts that can tear people apart.  However children who are not introduced to the community, go a bit nuts and blood thirsty and it's hard to make think other wise.  Yao usually orders for them to be killed, and Alfred doesn't really mind doing that.  I think I mention Hunter Smith for a brief second.  She's an ex-Hunter who fell in love with a regular human and had a kid James who Jeremy is friends with.  So there we go.

Also if your interest in being a Beta reader for me, leave a comment and I'll hopefully get back to you rather reasonably.  Other wise have a Happy Halloween and I hope you enjoyed my story!
