Hair-raising! ^0^
Singing sensation Charice Pempengco sang her way through The Ellen Degeneres Show. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to watch it on TV >.<
Charice was born on May 10, 1993 in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines. She started singng at the age of 4 and started participating in singing contests at the age of 7. At the age of 12, she joined Little Big Star, a singing contest on ABS-CBN but only came as the third-runner up. Though I wouldn't be able to tell if she should've been the winner since I've never watched the show and there are a lot of talented kids like her here in the Philippines.
Charice started to become known in the cyberworld when FalseVoice of YouTube posted her performance of Whitney Houston's hit I Will Always Love You which she performed in Little Big Star. Many YouTubers thought her performance was fake and that she was only lipsynching because of her unbelievable vocals. Another video that became a hit was a face-off video of her and equally talented America's Got Talent's winner Bianca Ryan. These videos paved way and became instrumental for her to be recognized by Ten Songs Productions, a record company based in Sweden. Charice then travelled all the way to Stockholm in June 2007 and recorded seven songs. (credit: Wikipedia because I have a headache and I can't think but I just had to post this XD)
And because of her videos posted all over the web, she was invited to sing in a South Korean show called "Star King". She wowed the Koreans, the audience and celebs alike, with her vocal prowess by singing "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" of Dreamgirls and giving them a hair-raising performance.
Not only that, Charice also proved to have skills on the dance floor and showed it with Super Junior!! Even imitating Chullie's dance XD
She even had a duet with KyuHyunnie~! X3 Singing "A Whole New World" from Disney animation film "Aladdin". I'm amaze how these two sang a duet so beautiful, practicing only the day they met.

Because of this, she was featured on E! Daily Top Ten TWICE describing her on the second as one of Hollywood's Royalty! With the same video clip, she was also featured on The Ellen Degeneres Show with Ellen giving a standing ovation and asking for her to come to the show. And surely enough, she granted Ellen's request and came where she, once again, set the stage with her amazing voice and excellent stage presence.
Gah! Ellen even gave her an iPod Touch!

I've watched her videos a lot and everytime, it sends goosebumps all over my body. THAT'S how good she is. It's actually sad on my part that I only came to know Charice through watching Super Junior on Star King. But I've not been much of a fan of our local networks. That and the fact that my aunt ONLY watches one channel ^^;; In a way, I'm glad she didn't win on LBS or I might've never seen her on Star King. Maybe. But I truly believe that this girl would make it as an International Artist and I'm truly very proud of her. ^.^
I can't wait to see her duet with KyuHyunnie again ^.^!
