i'mmmmmmmmm back!
I'mmmmmmmm back!
so, i got back my power after the totally random Hurricane Wilma at 3:29 AM this morning. (yes, i know the exact time for i was stunned awake by my stereo blasting System of a Down...) so yeah. the past few days were very enlightening to say the least. I was actually getting used to the whole candlelight/flashlight thing, and the going to bed at 10:00 (an astonishingly early time for me) and the no technology at all except the propane-operated stove we cooked on. It was kind of cool in a....primitive, prehistoric type of way. :D so yeah, monday the storm hit. Tuesday, we waited in lines for propane/other essential stuff. [word of advice: prepare for hurricanes IN ADVANCE. lines are annoying as hell, and the people in them 10 times so...] Wednesday, waited in more lines, then was [almost literally] kidnapped by Alice and Corbin (my best friends), who then kidnapped Matt (my bf) and Alice's friend Kate, and we all went to Alice's, then Corbin's house and chilled out. That was alot of fun. Thursday, I hung out at my aunt and uncle's house the entire day, which was cool. I played the most intense game of Monopoly I had ever been in: 6+ hours, and we didn't even finish the game, we (my 2 cousins and I) mutually ended it. It was awesome. So yeah, now today friday, i've been lazing around the house, did the round-robin to the other houses in the family, and now i'm back home. so, all in all, an okay week, that could have been much worse, so i'm happy.
