Since school finished I've been at a bit of a loss... still waiting to hear back on a job (was supposed to find out today... didn't. Big surprise) Still waiting for all my marks.

Landlord gone. Soo is gone (though I had an awesome day with her on Tuesday!) Vince is gone. Even Case is gone! So I am all by myself and am filling the void by obtaining super cheap sustenance for myself.

This so far has involved:

Litres and litres of borscht. Beets, cabbage, and water (add other things if available). It doesn't get much cheaper than that.

Coconut almond balls. Basically coconut and almond meal held together with honey and a dash of (ahem... borrowed) rum for flavour.

Bread. As Bev lets me use her flour and salt, this is practically free. And freshly baked bread is just so comforting.

I still get the occasional shift at the coffee shop. Woo hoo, 8 hours per week at minimum wage (the lowest in the country).

I'm stuck in limbo. At the moment, I'll be lucky if I can pay rent this summer. Needles to say it doesn't look like I'll be able to afford to take the necessary courses to get promoted to 3rd year. And it doesn't look like I can afford to take driving lessons, and lack of a license is one of the major reasons I couldn't find employment in this stupidly hypocritical field, and therefore I am stuck in some horrible loop that I will never escape from unless I win the lottery, which will never happen because I do not buy lottery tickets.

I knew my good luck would run out eventually, but why does it always have to be with employment issues?
