SO long overdue
Well, it is a lovely Thursday here in Santa Cruz, CA and I have not had a substantial update in weeks. Seeing as I have a fourday weekend as of 3:30 this afternoon, and very little homework I will take the time now to tell you of the happening of the past week. Enjoy.
Friday: I went to Mona's house after school to meet her family. RThat was utterly amazung. They are all Romainian (her father's two sisters were there and her grandmother) and they talked in a mix of English/Romanian/French the whole time I was there. It was so neat to see them all, and to hear them all and to get introduced as the best friend. Even though I had never met them before it made me feel very...loved to be there. Mona's grandmother said (in French, Mona had to translate) that "the painting of Mona was complete by meeting me" How sweet is that? When she saw us eating ice cream she was like "sweet treats for sweet girls" and when she I left the next day she kissed me goodbye. She was adorable.
Mona and I did a bunch of beautifying things (ie masks, painting nails, eating ice cream, trying on dresses, more masks, more ice cream) that happened to include going to bed really early. We were both exhausted.
Saturday: Mona and I had a webcam converstaion with Gail and she said she really liked both of our dresses for Prom. Then she showed us this hugemongous cookie she had bought, so Mona and I were late to Carey's because we felt we had to make cookies.
We went and got ready at Carey's fairyland house. Her casa is so beautiful, it looks like it came out of a magazine. She has a stone hot tub that flows into a pond with fish and turtles and flowers...She made my hair look very pretty and we went on to the Prom.
There were a lot of people there, and everyone was dancing. It was so much fun. Reed was my "date" and he convinced me to take a profesional picture with him... grrr. But other then that it was awsome. Everyone looked fantastic and the decorations were awsome. (It was an old Hollywood theme) I danced all night. I only missed a couple dances, to go outside and cool off. I had a great time. Everyone came and spent the night at my house afterwards, and we ate taquitos and watched SNL.
Sunday: Homework and cleaning house. Nothing exciting.
Monday: went to school and felt utterly sick.
Tuesday: Went to school even though I was utterly sick
Wednesday: Still had a sore throat, runny nose, ear ache, head ache and fever.
Thursday: Still feel awful, but at least I have a four day weekend! Hooray!
