Year of Miracles

So I've got this Old Races collection, YEAR OF MIRACLES. My publisher, who are wary of short story collections, opted not to publish it. I've done a release of the short stories in 3 e-collections, which didn't light the world on fire, but which haven't done badly.

I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and release the entire collection as a print-on-demand through Lulu and Amazon, or...what.

It's not a collection like BABA YAGA'S DAUGHTER, which while a collection of short stories and not a novel, does have a story arc of sorts. YEAR OF MIRACLES is much more...amorphous.

The way I see it, I could do a couple things. I could release it as-is.

I could also write a new set of stories and potentially offer two collections of half-new material to some other, perhaps smaller, publisher. (Offering anybody YEAR OF MIRACLES as-is, having e-released the stories, doesn't seem appropriate to me.) Realistically, of course, the chances of doing the second set of stories without some kind of outside (Kickstartery) incentive are slim, although there are plenty of tales I could still tell. I could also, of course, eventually write those other stories and release them in their own print-on-demand kind of collection like YEAR OF MIRACLES, if I decided to do that.

It seems like with the holidays around the corner I oughta make a decision on that pretty quick.

But the other side of this is I'm hoping to release NO DOMINION in January, and MOUNTAIN ECHOES is out in March. The phrase "tapping the well too often" comes to mind, so I donno.
