I know exactly what you mean about the sense of excitement and fear when you read a friend's published work. I was so relieved when I liked Urban Shaman!

Looking forward to making room in my crowded reading schedule for Matchbox Girls.

ha! i know exactly what you mean about "so relieved" -- i've had books go both ways with friends and it always makes me happy when I can genuinely *like* their books

I remember chrysoula from word wars! (I keep meaning to get back into that, but my computer is officially garbage now, :( so... )

I came verrrrry close to chipping in today (like halfway through Amazon sign up), but I've only just got an art teaching gig and no paycheck yet, so no spending money until after Thurs.

Why do you have to make self-control so hard? :)

It's my job to make it hard. :) The good news is the Kickstarter campaign's running for another week so you'll have time! :)

I am more than happy to take a punt on an unknown to me author when you give such a great advert for the book :) *clicky-clicky* And... done! (even remembering to add the extra for postage, too)

I am adding this book to my list to get. 'Cause I remember Soula from the days when we all sat in the same room together. And from Northfield, I think. Maybe. Angie would know.

Kickstarter, you say? Hmm. I like funding those, right?

Anyway, isn't "I am two chapters into @chrysouladreams‘s MATCHBOX GIRLS, and I REALLY WANT to keep reading instead of going to stupid work!" a sufficient blurb? Or only for those of us who know you?
