I have an e-reader!

Impressions thus far: heavier than expected, though that’s partially its leather case. Doesn’t have a touch screen. Not certain I think that’s a minus, actually. Page refresh is a bit slower than I might like, but I don’t really know how fast a Sony or Kindle or Nook refreshes, either, so possibly 1-2 seconds is par for the ( Read more... )

Touch screens are nice, but they do seem to make the screen a bit less clear. If they were as responsive as the touch response you get on phones and iPads and the like, then it would be worth the while, but on the Sony, it's more like an ATM screen.

Well, now it's a quest. How about these guys? Kobo has its own reader but they list the BeBook as a supported reader for their ePubs.

Oooh...Please share the details if you find a decent source for ebooks! So far we've only been using laptops for eReaders namely because of the pricing and DRM issues, since the tablets with reading software cost just as much as a laptop and the bulk of the ebook outlets where I can find normally published works such as _Truthseeker_ and the local library only sell or lend books with DRM.

For my Kindle I either buy direct from Amazon or from Baen's Webscriptions site for the most part...
