I read this web comic, Questionable Content, which has been going on since 2003 and which is mostly fairly entertaining in a college soap opera kind of way. Anyway, apparently the first book is coming out soon, and the artist has re-drawn at least some of the original pages. Augh, it's true. I look at stuff I used to draw in 2003 and just about die when I compare it to my stuff now. wah. And I'm not even that good.

Howard Tayler (Hugo nominee in Montreal) also redid some of his earlier Schlock Mercenary panels, though he didn't go to the extent that the QC artist did.

IIRC, he did one other thing: when releasing his strips as books, he released volume 3 first. I think he then did volume 4 before going back to vols 1 & 2 and reworking them.

Dave Sim (of Cerebus infamy) gave a very simple strategy for learning to draw, which I paraphrase: Get a stack of paper about as tall as you are. Draw something on every sheet. By the time you're done, you'll be pretty good at drawing.

Drawing a lot of things definitely improves it!

Of course, my drawing is so bad that I'd be aspiring to get to the 'before' state....
