aberdeen rocks because: she is fearless.

This is not to say she is without fear, because then she would be Matt Murdoch, and that would be weird. But I don't believe I know anyone as willing to categorize and face her fears as Deen. The particular example that comes to mind is a simple one: going out dancing. This was not something in her repetoire, and the whole prospect made her very nervous. But given the opportunity to go Jamesing, she flung herself into a situation she had no experience or comfort with, and refused to let discomfort inhibit her. I have met very few people as willing to take a chance and be willing to enjoy themselves in the face of uncertainty as Deen, and that is why she rocks.

ellenmillion rocks because: she is an achiever.

"My" Ellen is the girl sitting by me on the first day of art class who looked at my doodled-on sketchpage and said, "Hey, that's ElfQuest, isn't it?" This is the quintenssential Ellen to me: a woman with her head in the clouds whose feet are so firmly grounded that in the my god can it really be fifteen years? that I've known her, it never occurred to me to imagine that she would not take her talent and her ambition and create the business of her dreams out of them. If there were not invisible steps there to be taken, Ellen would have carved them out of thin air, chiseling each one to take her higher, and that is why she rocks.

porphyrin rocks because: she is a superwoman.

I may be using a rather all-encompassing term here, but I have no better or more accurate one to use. Doctor, mother, writer, editor, and those are just the roles I know Stella in. Out of those four, it's only the second two that I have genuine personal experience with, and she is exemplary in them. I cannot imagine that the same is not true of her other roles. I am honestly and genuinely staggered by her range of skills and the talent and passion she puts into each of them, and that is why she rocks.

debela rocks because: she takes no prisoners.

No holds barred, full on forward all the time, Woe Betide The Fool Who Crosses Her Path. If there were a professional wrestler of etiquette and Getting Her Way, it would be Deborah. Legions fall before her, and I actually mean that. She has a job that would try the patience of a saint, and because she is no saint herself, her patience is often tried, but in time--and with a List of Doom in hand--she will inevitably triumph, and that is why she rocks.

More tomorrow. :)
