I didn't quite get tickets to America. I did spend a lot of time trying to remember what the hell address I'd been living at when I got my Delta Airlines mileage card so I could unlock the account. Probably a stupid question... i_are_jellybean October 5 2007, 20:40:00 UTC
...but on average, how much do you tend to write when you sit down to work? I know it can vary, but let's say on a slightly-less-than-good day, how many words and/or pages (whatever you tend to measure by) do you crank out? I'm not trying to compare, it's just something I've been curious about for a while. I'm a newbie myself and haven't gotten any kind of discipline down yet. I'm having difficulty, given that I work two jobs and get no days off. >_

Not a stupid question at all, why would it be? Even on teeth-pulling days I usually aim for 1100 words. Good steady days average around 3K. Killer days I can do five or seven thousand words, and on what shadowhwk calls alien writing days I might do 10K. Those don't happen very often. :)

Try for a page a day, if you want something to aim for. That's a book in a year. :)
