Well, we're off to Paris early on Monday morning for a week, but I think I can sneak away for a while on Sunday afternoon! Herself will be doing last-minute-packing type stuff, so may or may not be able to join us, but you pick a time and place in Dublin on Sunday, and I'll be there to meet you.

So my Mom calls me a couple months ago and says "hey i just found this great book called Urban Shaman," and I had to tell her yes, not only had I read it, but also the sequel, to which she replied, there's a sequel?

She crossed the continent to come visit, and left Winter Moon & Thunderbird Falls on the bedside table for her to read. I took her to Powells for a books signing (Scalzi) and picked up Coyote Dreams the day before she was due to fly home, and so after I had stayed up all night reading to finish it, she tucked TF & CD in her bag and headed on home.

I recently got a package from her - posting the books back to me - with a fangirl letter regarding how much she enjoyed them. Now, I can't say I sold a copy of your books, but Mom's the reason each of her 4 kids has collected the entire Pern series, et al - she'll tell my siblings and her friends and you'll have a spat of sales.

Just spreading the love.
