Ted and I went into Cork today, mostly to see "Children of Men", which left us both kind of staggering. It's really very good, but it's *extremely* emotionally intense and *really* doesn't let up. I'm not entirely sure I'd have gone to see it if I'd known how relentless it was, but it was well worth watching. We hit Other Realms after that and picked up comic books, and staggered home to eat morally inferior food and goof around on the computer all night.
We are *nearly* finished with season one of Tru Calling, which
aberdeen sent us ages and ages ago. Ted is deliberately torturing me and not letting me watch the last two episodes tonight. It is much, *much* better than we expected it to be, which is still surprising me. Jason Priestly is in the second half of the season, and I've never seen him in anything, and he's really *good*. The entire setup is good, the acting is good, the characters are well-developed, the episodes are consistent--I'm totally surprised. Must! Get! Second! Season!
