late night dublin wander

I went to my sister’s musical last night, and having foolishly failed to check the train times, discovered at 10 o’clock, on my way to the train station, that there was not a half ten train, only a 10pm one and a half eleven one. So I ended up wandering around city centre, getting some extra steps in and taking crappy late night phone camera

the BoI building is still a bank (in fact my branch is in there). It has two branches (College Green and Trinity) and some investment-y stuff.

I would recommend going inside sometime if it's ever open when you're passing by, at least to the public areas like the foyer; it has a nifty fireplace and a couple nice wooden bits and pieces. (I'm particularly fond of the way the marble step in on the left entrance is worn down by all the feet into a really big dip. Visible reminder of all the people who must have stepped in that very spot before...)
