*waves to everyone* Yep, I'm finally getting to do this! My internet has been borked for almost 2 weeks, but finally got fixed (3 calls, one router change by me, and one visit from the cable company later). So here were go :)
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
So this year I'm going with reccing fics that surprised me, because that sounds like a fun theme.
1. My first fic was written for Trope Bingo last year, and came out of nowhere almost fully formed. The square was "perspective flip" and for whatever reason, I ended up with a favorite old musical of mine, Brigadoon as inspiration. While I love the happy ending of the film, part of me always felt badly for poor Van Johnson's character, Jeff, and that's whose POV the story shows.

2. Another challenge fic, this time for Intoabar. I knew I was getting Blair Sandburg as my main character, and crossed my fingers for Carlos as the secondary, so I was thrilled when that actually happened. The surprise was how hard it ended up being to write (I expected a great deal of ridiculous geekery that never arrived) and how serious the tone ended up being. I wrote two fills, but only posted this one, which I love quite a bit.

3. For my final rec, I'm listing a series of short fics inspired by prompts from my beloved enabler
lucifuge5 They are all future fics for the movie Pretty in Pink, with a pairing of Andie/Steff. I really, really ended up loving these, and kind of hope inspiration strikes again soon.
