2015 Birthday Promptathon Day Four

Jan 16, 2015 00:02

Getting this in under the wire! Because it's more important than the work I still need to do (part of the OMFG this day was horrendous and stressful and needs to be DONE saga). ANYHOW. Here's the scoop.

My darling andeincascade gave me the prompt of The Headstones as chibis". And I admit it sounds like fun to draw. But I have struggled with it and it just isn't coming. However, I was thinking about it, and about what Hugh and the gang might think about being chibi-ized (yes, that's a word. shut up). And this is what resulted. Not what you asked for (at ALL), Ande, but hopefully you'll like it just the same :)

So, one of the band stumbles across a chibi pic of them, and has to share it. Hugh is mightily teased for being so freaking adorable as a chibi. One of them even compares him to a kewpie doll. Much swearing, flipping off, and possibly headlocks occur.

Hugh also responds by exclaiming that he's "not a doll, I'm a fucking action figure, thank you very fucking much."

That gets a whole new conversation going. About the band as action figures, and wouldn't that be cool. And Hugh chimes in with thinking it would be cooler if there were Hard Core Logo action figures, since retro figs are all over the place right now, which spurs a discussion of just what accessories each one would have (the list gets ruder and cruder, each trying to outdo the other). They're all certain that Hugh's would have spitting action. Hugh says it would have a nice long... mike stand, which has the rest rolling their eyes, because wow, that wasn't at all subtle.

They all agree that interchangeable hands, especially with ones flipping you off, would be mandatory. And think there should be a shitty van to go with it that falls apart when you try to play with it.

This goes on for long enough that no one really remembers what started the conversation in the first place.

But for some reason, Hugh finds himself inspired to write a song called Not Your Fucking Kewpie Doll.
