Day Twelve
In your own space, rec at least three fanworks that you think would make a good intro into XYZ fandom. Rec a fandom overview, a introductory picspam, stories that define and shape the fandom. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
If at all possible, try to pick a smaller or rarer fandom, one that maybe doesn't have the following you feel it should.
So. I read a lot of fandoms. And a lot of them are HUGE. But there's one that I adore that I knew had to be today's rec. I'd like to talk about Shelter.
lucifuge5 recced this little film to me several years ago, and I adore it. If you haven't seen it - do! It's sweet and sad and painful at times to watch, but ultimately hopeful. And the fic I'm reccing goes right along with it (though most of it is less on the painful side).
Some Laws Should be Broken from the Start
This is a look at Shaun, Zach and Cody pretty much immediately post-movie. It's got the same careful, tentative feel that the film does, and fits right into canon.
Love Makes a Family
This fic takes place several years after the film, and is a sweet look several years down the road.
Eight Days a Week
A look at a typical week for a busy family of three. With a lot of great graphics added in - post-it notes, texts, etc. I love that even when things are crazybusy, love still shines through.
Like Seriously, Dude
And last but definitely not least, a marriage proposal fic that makes me smile whenever I read it.
