I didn't mention before, but I now have a job at the food service place in the basement of my dorm. It's pretty basic; stocking shelves, taking people's money/swipes, growling inwardly at the other stockperson because he tries to stock cereal which is my job dammit, and he never organizes them so that people don't mess up the entire display looking for that last cup of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
But I digress.
My point here is the irregularly large amount of bananas I end up stocking in a short amount of time. I never touch the apples or oranges, but it seems like every time I turn around, we're out of bananas again. I stocked about forty bananas within about an hour and a half time span with a relatively small amount of people going through the place. And it's not that a bunch of people will each take one banana, it's always one person that will grab a plastic bag and spend a swipe or two on just bananas!
My conclusion is thus:
a) a few people really really like bananas (cause the same people come by pretty much every day I work around the same time)
b) a few people are buying bananas for their entire floor
c) someone hosts banana orgies that I'm not invited to
