A few open letters
Dear children,
I know you're both excited to be home on spring break and have mommy all to yourself to play Narnia, Harry Potter, Sleeping Beauty, etc. or to set up tea parties, change batteries, read books, and such. But mommy sometimes needs a break, especially with the huge pile of laundry, house cleaning and job hunting she has to do. Okay? Thanks.
And by the way, when I ask you two to clean your art table, I meant put away your markers, scissors, stray scraps of paper. I did not mean for you to wash the table down with wet kleenex, leaving sticky spitball-like gobs of paper and puddles all over the floor.

Please do not laugh at me when I call you to relay the art table cleaning debacle.
Dear cat,
You're adorable. Really. But please stop trying to sneak into the basement. Contrary to what you might think, it's not a giant litter box.

Please cooperate.
Dear Draco,
Please send over your house-elf or Harry to clean my house. I am willing send Harry back wearing nothing but eyeliner and a pair of tight trousers for your troubles.
