I'm knackered, groggy and, blissfully, I'm drinking strong coffee. And the spouse just took the kids to the park.

A Lesson in Breaking [Snape/Harry, Snape/Draco, NC-17, warnings] by
fleshdressfleshdress is one of the few people who can get me to read Snape/Harry, which is one of my no-no pairings, but I thought this was brilliant. Full of ouchy emotions.
~ If you are looking for good gen, I thought
These Walls, These Days by
cjmarlowe was an excellent portrait of McGonagall.
Speaking of gen,
springtime_gen has started posting. Check it out. And
hp_springsmut is done. Loads of new fic has been posted in the last week that I still need to read.
On writing:
~ My Harry/Pansy piece is still in production. I love this fic. I really do.
~ My pinch hit for
springtime_gen is moving along. I wrote a fair bit last night. I'm still not exactly sure where I'm going with it, but I'm just moving forward to see where it takes me. As I said before, I'm having a hard time not making this about slash (and keeping the persistent bunny at bay who wants Draco to show up on Harry's doorstop. Bad bunny). Working on this fic has reminded me how much I love the Grimmauld Place setting. I can't wait to see it on film
~ My
serpentinelion is all blocked out in my head and I have high hopes for this one. I just need to commit more than the 600 words I've written thus far.
~ And believe it or not, I am working on Sort of a Homecoming, my woe-fully unfinished WIP. No eta on that though:D
I realized last night, there aren't as many WIPs going around like there used to be. There are a few, like Shadow of His Wings and Walk the Line, which I'm so woefully behind on, but nothing like the days when fics like Underwater Light, Eclipse, Left My Heart, and 3T were being updated and I'd drop everything to read and squee. Maybe Big Bang has sucked the life out the genre.
Okay, I need to shut up and drag my arse into the shower.
