Ok, cool- [work]

I've been in a bit of a slump for a few months, but I feel like something useful happened today:

There is now plastic on my crazy-leaky-cold windows. Our super suggested it, got up the first bit, then got distracted. I finished. I had suggested I could do this if he was otherwise busy today, but his response was non-committal. I went down to my gym to borrow a hair dryer to finish the work and he was gone by the time I returned, soo... yes. Finished. Hope he didn't mind.

I pulled all the unboxed stuff in one range of the rare book room last Friday as part of the great defrag process. Lots were just single ledgers. I've relabeled 22 items (19 collections), reshelved most. The rest go into the catch-all Small Collections.
I'm reminded that I have to make phase boxes for about a dozen books. I should do that. It's been several months.

We have a temporary worker dealing with The Collection From Hell (CFH)we got a few months ago. We must vacate the staging room by March 31, so my occasional help to direct and catalyze is a good thing. Being up there is exhausting, though. We now have cotton flocked-lined nitrile gloves! Sooo lovely! It really does reduce the sweat factor. This CFH has the extra feature of being -literally- filthy. Metaphorically? More on the boring to virtuous with a side of irrelevant. Not the ideal characteristics for paper.

Tomorrow I do a site visit, Friday I have a bored meeting for Regional Professional Group (TM).

Next week I meet with boss and librarian to discuss future plans- revising my job description, figuring out what the eventual replacement-of-me (because I will be more exec. level after the change) will do. Eeee!
