Thailand
Over the past several months, I have thought of things that Dad wanted to, but never got around to doing. He died so young. I am just 20 years younger then he is, and could easily end up in the same boat. So, if you want to say its a new years resolution (which fits), then mine would be to travel once a year to somewhere. 2008 is Thailand.
Joe and I are planning on going to Thailand during Sept - Oct, and am hoping to go for 10 - 16 days, depending on how well we can save between now and then. Its the off peak monsoon period. We are just doing our investigations / research at this point, and seeing what we can come up with. So far on my list:
Bangkok
Chaing Mai
Wat Pa Luangta Bua Yannasampanno Forest Monastery
The Royal Palace
The Snake show that Gen and Khary went to
Possibly Angkor Wat (Cambodia)
Anyone got any suggestions for Central and Northern Thailand / Cambodia / Laos?
