I went to my crappy dentist today. He's worked on my chipped tooth three times now. First time, within the first three days, the silly putty he put on there flaked and chipped. So I went back today, and well, he was out of my tooth color. When I inquired about the significance of this, he said not to worry because he was putting so little color on there anyway, the difference wouldn't be noticeable. Well, I saw when I looked in my car mirror that there was, in fact, a difference in color. The surface was still flaked, leaving a little dark spot on the front of my tooth. So I ripped my keys out of the ignition and went back in there like I wasn't irritated and sat back down in the chair. Told him I wasn't trying to be difficult, but the tooth still didn't look right. He got irritated with me and said he had done the best he could. I argued that it had looked right the first time he did it. So he sat down and mixed up the darker and lighter shade to make my shade. And he fixed it. He walked out before the girl was even done drying the putty. I might add that he told me the putty sets in the office, but I succeeded in flicking some off the back of my tooth today. So I ate an avocado and smoothie for lunch. Don't tell me it's set, Mister.
In other news, I guess my friend Jamie is single again, because she's paying attention to me. I got a text message from her last night at 11:45 asking me how I was. My reply this morning was "Fine." To which her response was "Sound bitter." My response was, "Not bitter. Just don't want to be an afterthought anymore." Hers was "Afterthought? Can I call you? Please" and I told her I was running errands and to call me tomorrow night, when she has the night off.
