(no subject)
So, I got my tooth fixed, but whatever they use isn't very hard cuz I have a teeny tiny 'nother chip and then there's a spot on the front of my tooth where the surface has flaked off. Anyway...
I have just enjoyed about a week and a half off work. I wish I never had to work, but just kept getting paid. It was hard coming back here. I've been dreading it since last Thursday. If only I could stay awake.
Cassie had to spend the night last night, cuz she locked her keys in her car and had to wait until her landlord could let her in this morning so she could get her spare keys from her apartment.
Lastly, I just wanna sound off on the hurricane thing...Hurricanes are an act of God. Not an act of government. The government, from the local to state to national level, either buried its head in the sand or acted more slowly than those people needed. Either way, and I'm sure I'd be looking for someone to be mad at too, it is no one's fault that New Orleans is a bowl of toxic soup. I feel sure that I'm going to have to listen to everyone rant about how all this is Bush's fault, and some of it is, but let's not forget the mayor, the governor and FEMA. K? K. Just wanted to be clear on that. By the way, props to my LJ friends who've been doing their part to help out with the disaster relief...Casi and Cassie, that I know of.
Tonight I'm going to the Yo La Tengo concert after Cassie and I either work out or go to happy hour. Such a toss-up.
