buzz kill!
the past several weeks, i have been eying the nike free 7.0 in silver/aqua. i visit nike outlets to check out the price and stock availability. i have been planning to purchase it sometime in december as my personal christmas present. it is, after all, selling at Php4,495 -almost a quarter of my take home pay! hahahaha. and the rubber shoes i'm using still worked with the help of rugby and rubber bands. bwahahahahaha. poor me!!!
so, when we saw a nike factory outlet in subic, we dropped by to see if the shoes i've been lusting after was there.
it wasn't.
instead, they had other nike free models. the only one that appealed to me and was available in my size was a gray/pale blue 5.0 model. the saleslady explained that the 5.0 just meant lower soles than the 7.0, which appealed to me. i tried it on, liked the way it looked and felt, and bought it for Php3,146.50 - i saved over a thousand bucks on the shoe, it was retailing at the same price as the one i wanted. i was thrilled!!!
that was yesterday.
tonight, after dinner at serendra, my parents decided to go rubber shoes shopping at... of course... nike. i saw the 7.0 i've been wanting to buy. my mom mentioned that she wanted to buy a pair that was soft. and as rubber shoes go, the nike frees are the softest i've seen.
long story short, my mom bought my 7.0-s a day after i settled on another pair of shoes!!! grrrr!!! hahahahaha.
maybe i'll stage a burglary at home and take her shoes - and a few vintage bags just to be convincing. :P
