Nao was doing his homework, thinking back on his day. He was thinking about Saga mostly. Maybe he would be good for Tora. Or maybe not. But it’s really not his choice or decision to make. But that’s up to Saga as well, he doesn’t look like the type of guy to give away his feelings straight away, well on purpose anyway. Tora is that kind of guy. I wonder what will happen.
Tora was trying to get to sleep. I mean, in order to get up early, he has to go to bed early don’t he? But he couldn’t get the new kid out of his head. Of course he saw the way Saga looked at him, he could tell the kid had a crush on him. But did Tora think of him the same way? Who knows. Maybe in time. But first, he wanted to make good friends with the guy and get to know him.
Shou was desperately trying to study for the test the next day. It was stupid English. Who has tests in English?! English teachers obviously. Shou had a good day, except from the part where Tora stepped in and ruined Hiroto’s and Shou’s fun in the car just because ’Class was about to Start’! Sometimes Tora got on Shou’s nerve’s for being the intelligent, smart and teachers pet boy that he was. But Shou couldn’t concentrate on that, he had to concentrate on the stupid English test he had tomorrow.
Hiroto was asleep. Dreaming about nothing. Thinking about nothing. But in back of his mind, he knew something was about to change. He didn’t know what but he knew it was coming.
‘Mom, I’m going to school now! Bye!” Saga said his goodbye’s and got into his car and drove to school. On the way there, he began to think about the people he met.
Nao, the one who holds the group together I guess. The nice one, but one that can’t keep out of other peoples business.
Shou, the one who’s not afraid to say what’s on his mind. The bold one, but sometimes afraid of what people will think of him.
Hiroto, Shou’s boyfriend and the one that will stick up for his relationship, whatever it takes. The protective one in the relationship , but sometimes too protective.
And finally Tora, the one who protects everyone and stands up for his friends. The popular one, but doesn’t leave his friends in their time of need.
Saga ran they assumptions through his head. Sure it was a little early to be making statements like that but everyone has their first opinions. Saga finally arrived at his new school, and the first person he saw was none other than Tora.
“Hey! Saga, you’re here early!” Tora smiled at the smaller boy and waved. Saga smiled and got out of his car.
“Hey, Tora. I didn’t realise I was that early.” Saga admitted. Was he that early?
“Okay okay. Your not really early but your earlier than everyone else.” Tora smiled and motioned for saga to follow him into school.
“So, when does everyone else get here?” Tora stopped.
“Well, Nao usually gets here about now, then Shou then Hiroto.” Saga looked over to the exit to see if Nao was gonna show up.
“Hey look! There’s Nao.” Saga smiled and waved over to Nao. Nao spotted them and made his way over.
“Sup Guys.” Nao shook Saga’s hand and hugged Tora. “So, what’s on the agenda today guys?”
Tora scoffed. “Uh, I don’t know. Maybe… School?!” Nao punched him lightly on the arm. Saga just laughed at them and then he heard Shou’s voice.
“Hey! So I guess Hiroto isn’t here then?” Nao shook his head.
“Didn’t you really expect him to be here?”
“No, not really.” Saga looked around him to see if Hiroto was here yet. And there he was standing at the exit.
“Hey Shou? There he is.” Saga pointed over to the exit were Hiroto was waiting for Shou to notice him. When Hiroto saw them all looking over, he raced over to Shou and tightly hugged him.
“Sup!” Hiroto shouted once again in Shou’s ear.
“I told you to stop shouting when I’m right here!” Shou held his hand up to his ear and glared at Hiroto. But as expected Hiroto just pouted. “I forgive you.” Hiroto smiled and hugged Shou again.
“Woah! One hugs enough kid.” Shou said to Hiroto. Nao and Saga laughed at the face Hiroto made due to the fact Shou just called him a kid.
“I am not. A. Kid.” Hiroto gave Shou a death glare and began to walk away when Shou grabbed his arm.
“We’ve got the next class together so… as an apology… do you want a piggyback ride to class?” Hiroto’s face brightened up suddenly. Then he began to nod furiously.
“PIGGYBACK RIDE!” Hiroto jumped on Shou.
“Aw. Their sweet.” Saga said. Tora laughed at him. “What?”
“Sweet?” Tora laughed again and Saga just rolled his eyes.
“By the way. Can I get your address?” Tora nearly choked.
“What? Why?!” Saga laughed.
“Because of that project for maths. Remember?” Tora stopped then realised what he was talking about.
‘Oh! Sure then.” Tora took out a piece of paper and wrote his home address on it. He gave it to Saga.
“5.30pm. No sooner, no earlier.” Saga nodded and put the piece of paper in his pocket. He smiled at Tora.
“Then off we go!” Nao motioned them into the corridors so they could get to class. The first class Saga had was English. Not the best subject in the world but not exactly the worst.
“See you later then?” Both of the other boys nodded at Saga and walked away.
During the class, Saga was really bored. He Didn’t know anyone in this class and no one is trying to talk to him. That’s bad cause that means he has to do work. Saga sighed and slowly began working again. When it came to the interval, everyone was circling around someone. Saga wondered about who it was. He could see Shou, Hiroto, Nao and Tora smiling at the person.
‘Hey guys!” Tora turned round and looked at Saga.
“Hey! I need you to meet somebody.” Tora took Saga’s arm and brought him over to the circle. “This is Kai. He’s my best friend. The reason he wasn’t here yesterday was because he was on holiday for 1 month.” Saga smiled and shook Kai’s hand.
“Pleasure.” Kai smiled and nodded
“It’s nice to meet you. So your new then?” He asked Saga. In reply, Saga just nodded. Tora was smiling, he was glad to see that they were getting along . Kai was Tora’s childhood friend, and they were like brothers.
“So guys. What are you’s up to after school?” Kai pretended to think.
“Actually, I have to study.” Tora laughed at Kai’s answer and ruffled his hair.
“Well, me and Saga here are working on a project in maths!” Everyone burst out laughing. “What?” Tora seemed confused at the reaction of his friends.
“Since when did you ever do projects in maths?” Shou asked.
“Well, since now!” Everyone laughed again and Tora just stomped away. While they were all chuckling, Saga decided to take this chance to really look at Kai. He wasn’t that short but shorter than him. His hair was slightly messy, but it looked like it had been styled like that. He wore a simple black shirt, with a white top underneath. He had on black jeans with black and white converse. Simple enough. Saga then followed Tora to the next class. The next few months, went by quickly. The routine was always the same. Tora would turn up to school early, quickly followed by Kai, (they were hardly apart) and then came Nao 5 minutes later. Saga then arrived and joined the trio, only really talking to Nao, as Tora and Kai always seemed to have something new to talk about. Shou now came in everyday with Hiroto on his back, and they would make their way to the others. And finally they would all go to class. At intervals and lunches, Shou and Hiroto were always in Shou’s car (god knows how they weren’t completely tired all the time) and Kai and Tora would always either stay and go off in their own little world, or run up to music and jam with each other. Leaving Nao and Saga to talk to only each other. But one lunch Saga decided to ask Nao about Tora and Kai’s relationship.
“So, Nao. Does it not bother you that Tora is always away with Kai?” Nao shook his head.
“Nah. They were always like that before you came.” Saga sighed.
“What about Shou and Hiroto. I’m pretty sure, or I hope so, that you didn’t hang out with them at interval or lunch.” Nao’s eyebrow lifted.
“Of course not. If I wanted to die of a heart attack. Then I would go.” They both laughed.
“Then what did you do when they were all gone?” Nao pointed over to a group of people.
“I would sit with them. They’re my back up friends.” Saga looked over and looked at them. They seemed normal enough.
“Didn’t Tora realise they were ‘ditching’ you?”
“Nah. But I didn’t complain. I’m not that type of person. I let them do what they want and that’s that” Nao smiled at Saga. But Saga didn’t understand. How could they just leave one person alone, when they were supposed to be friends. Saga was about to say something else when he noticed someone’s shadow covering his eyes. He looked up and saw someone he definitely didn’t realise.
“Uh… excuse me?” The boy just kept looking at him then he shifted his eyes to Nao. Nao gasped. He then sprang from his seat and hugged the stranger tightly around the neck.
“MIYAVI!!!!!” ‘Miyavi’ laughed and lifted Nao up and began spinning him around.
“I’ve not seen you in ages!” Nao laughed and told him to put him down.
“Saga, this is Miyavi!” Miyavi stuck out his hand and Saga slowly shook it.
“Pleasure to meet you.” Miyavi smirked and bowed.
“No. The pleasure is mine.” Saga had to resist the urge to laugh his face off. Can you believe this guy?! Nao laughed. “So Miyavi. What are you doing back?! I thought you left the school… never to come back!” Miyavi pouted. “Would I really do that to you guys?” Nao nodded. “Oh. Yeah but I couldn’t bear to be away any longer.” Miyavi patted Nao’s head. Nao pushed him away then took out his cellphone.
“I guess you wanna see Kai then?” Miyavi nodded vigorously. He then looked at Saga and nodded his head.
“So, how long you been here?” Saga just looked at him. “Hello?!” Saga shook his head and looked away. “Okay…” Miyavi flicked Saga on the head. “You all right buddy?” The smaller boy looked up and nodded.
“Sorry, just kinda… distracted.” Miyavi nodded in agreement and smiled. Nao put his phone back in his pocket and said “Kai is now literally running down the stairs just to see you.” Miyavi’s smile grew wider. They all turned around when a teacher’s voice rose and was shouting at a student.
“No Running In The Hallways!!” the teacher’s face was brighter than a tomato, considering how angry she was. When Saga realised who it was getting the punishment he burst into laughter.
“What’s funny?” Nao asked him. Saga took a deep breath then replied.
“It’s Kai.” The other men looked at each other and laughed hysterically. Kai seemed to hear people laughing at him and turned around to see who it was.
