When Nino was on his break from four hours of gaming, he decided to rest a while and go on the internet. Clicking alway site by site, watching clips of funny animals, and reading short news article. While scrolling down his newsfeed, an article posted on his friend’s wall caught his eye. After a short glance at the first few sentences, he couldn’t hold his smile and it slowly grew bigger and bigger.
“Completely PG-Rated Things That Are Incredibly Sexy”
1. Hugging for just a second or two too long, so you’re not sure if they actually meant to do it or you just imagined it.
-Every morning before Sho leaves, and if he is able to wake up as early as Sho, he would hold on to Nino so tight while breathe in the baby-skin like scent from the crock of his neck. Even though Nino wasn’t as fully awake, he would circle Sho’s waist a little tighter too.
2. Looking at each other in conversation and both kind of going completely blank and smiling at the same time.
-From time to time Nino would finish off Sho’s sentences and Sho could do nothing but nod and later on snap back to reality. Nino would have his wide eyes staring at Sho smiling and, without warning, laugh out loud cutely. Again Sho could do nothing but laugh a long and smile back.
3. Speaking a second (or third, or fourth) language.
-Ah, Nino couldn’t help but feel proud of his boyfriend. Remembering their earlier days when Sho surprised him by switching to English and helped a stranger who was looking for the toilet. Or when he was practicing his Russian before going to the Sochi Olympics assignment.
4. Looking really intently at someone while they’re speaking, and occasionally glancing down at their mouths.
-Nino doesn’t know if Sho’s looking at his mouth or not because he was too busy staring at Sho’s. Especially at times when they couldn’t meet, Nino was sure he could catch Sho at NewsZero and most of the time he couldn’t catch half of the things Sho said because he’s too busy looking those lips that only belongs to him.
5. Kissing someone on the cheek and staying for a second more than you should.
-After those morning hugs, a kiss on the cheek before Sho says “Ittekimasu” lingers a while and Nino couldn’t help but grab Sho by his elbow and kiss back either on his cheek or lips, which ever he reaches first without opening his eyes.
6. Leaning over to whisper something in their ear that makes the both of you laugh.
-Nino would be cooking dinner and Sho would quietly come from behind, hug him, shower kisses at his shoulder and whisper “I love you” all so suddenly. It’s cute, too cute that all he can do was laugh to hide his reddening cheeks. And as usual Sho laughs along with him.
7. Knowing what they like to drink and ordering their drink for them at the bar before they even have to look at the menu.
-In his case, not drinks but food. Sho being his considerate gentlemen and overly prepared always makes sure the restaurant they’re going has a menu he likes. Or order food he thinks Nino would like and to his surprise Sho never fails.

Nino just smiles and quickly types a short reply back.

8. Dancing.
-Sho doesn’t dance. Well he does, whenever they go to live shows together Sho couldn’t stay still. NEVER.EVER. He would just look for the biggest space and starts to hop and jump around and all Nino can do is smile at the 20-year old fun teenage boy-Sho once again.
9. When people (especially guys, let’s be honest) are really good with kids, and have this natural ability to just let all of their seriousness go and instantly befriend them.
-He just have to admit that Sho will be a very good father. In their early days when they started going out. Their dates ended up with Nino and Sho taking care of Nino’s nephew. He remembers clearly how Sho puts his nephew to sleep, cradled her around, and even changed her diapers. Whereever they go, he’s like a child-magnet. They just love him, and Nino loves that about him.
10. Getting really, really close to each other by necessity (like when you’re pushed together in a crowd), but not actually touching in any real way because you haven’t openly admitted to liking each other yet.
-They met in college. They took the same train and walked the through the same alley. They saw each other in their common classes and just smiled and nod acknowledging each other’s presence. One Monday morning during rush hour, Nino was pushed from the crowd into someone’s arm and when he was about to say sorry that guy pulled him closer and shield him from all the pushing-pulling. He looked up and it was Sakurai Sho. To make things less awkward, Nino tries to be his usual self thank him and started talking. By the time they got off, it was a friendlier atmosphere and they started taking more.
-At the karaoke, they would sit next to each other, shoulders brushing and fingers slightly overlapping. Though they would look the other way hiding their smiles.
11. Bringing simple flowers, gifts, or small gestures, for no reason at all.
-Nino loves it when Sho holds his hand. Randomly kisses the back of his hand from time to time, all this time driving one handed. The other day, Nino came back and saw the game that was on his wish-list lying on the coffee table.
12. Saying “hello” in a way that sounds more like “I missed you.”

Nino couldn’t hear when Sho came back because he was too busy thinking about the list he just read, until the strong arms circle his waists and the heat chases the cool breeze away. Outside the balcony underneath, the stars, Nino hears the deep voice whispered “hey”
