[FIC] Fall for Me::Chapter 2

Jul 01, 2006 13:15

Title: Fall for Me.
Pairing: Akame.
Rating: PG.
Summary: AU. Short chaptered fic.
Notes: This chapter is horribly long, and pointless. It's only a slight move forward. But I'm done writing the whole fic, and all of the chapters are of fair length because it's a total of five chapters... I just need to do major editing on all of them. I realize that skewed over their ages really badly, but it's an AU. It works. LOL.

“For someone so confident, you’re horrible,” Kame infromed simply as he tossed the ball in his hand.

Jin growled, “Shut up and just throw the ball.”

Who knew baseball would be so damned hard? He was lucky that the younger boy had given him unlimited amount of tries, although it wasn’t really by choice. He guessed it was more because of him and his incessant demand for another try. And the sun was starting to set already. This was not supposed to take this long. Stupid game, stupid bet, and stupid Yamashita. He bit his lip in frustration, and took a deep breath. “Just imagine that ball is Yamashita,” he muttered repetitively under his breath.

Kame got ready to pitch the ball, but when he actually swung his arm to throw the ball, fatigue from practice and how long they've been at it finally hitting him. He fell out of balance, and accidentally pitched it too high. His eyes widened as he watched it actually come to contact with Jin’s bat and fly way behind his reach.

“You’ve gotta be kidding me.”

“Home run!!!” Jin beamed, putting his hand up in a victory pose, “You’re not backing out of your promise now, are you?”

“No... What is it you wanted me to do?”

Jin gave him a contemplative look. To tell the truth, he hadn’t thought of what he was going to do. What should he ask him to do?

“Have sex with me.”

“What?”

Lightly laughing, Jin waved his hand, “I’m kidding. I just wanted you to tutor me.”

Kame eyed him incredulously, “I can’t...”

“What? I thought you agreed to do anything I...” Jin started.

“No. I meant I can’t. I don’t think we learn the same things, sempai.”

Jin blinked. ‘How’s a freshman going to tutor a senior, did you think of that Bakanishi!’ he chided in his head over and over, trying to come up with something else, “Okay, what are you good for?”

Kame pursed his lips, deep in either thought or in confusion.

“You know what? Just keep me company... My parents are out tonight and I hate being alone.”

Wordlessly, Kame retrieved his bat and packed his bag, “So, where are we going?”

Kame immediately regretted asking the moment neon lights started flashing in his eyes, and music pounded disturbingly loud in his already throbbing head. Unsure of what to do, he let Jin pull him straight into the crowd of people, and roughly turn him around.

Jin had started swaying to the music, gradually shaking his hips in the direction of Kame, throwing him a seductive looks while he was at it. He frowned as he noticed how Kame just stood there, stiffly. He furrowed his eyebrows, why wasn’t he dancing? So he had pulled him towards him and rolled his hips near Kame’s. One of his hands moved down to Kame’s hips, forcing the other to move in synch with him. He sighed as he felt no desire to move. Maybe he should just get him drunk. As the song ended, he dragged Kame to the bar, handing him a drink.

“I’m underage...”

Jin just stood there, staring blankly at him in disbelief. He didn’t really know what to say to someone who just claimed they’re underage. And Kame was starting to stare at him weirdly. Then again, how bad does it look to randomly hand someone a drink like he was trying to get him drunk and take advantage of him? He sighed. Maybe clubbing was a bad idea. Now that he thought about it, Kame wasn’t really known for being much of a party animal. Well, what else could they do?

“You wanna just come over? Maybe we could watch a movie or something.”

Kame merely nodded, following him out without a word.

”You could speak up you know... I want you as company, not as my slave or something crazy like that. I mean, I know you’re not always like this. I see you joking around with your friends all the time,” Jin tried, sighing as he opened the door to his apartment. Kame was still pretending to be a mute. Maybe he shouldn’t have even tried. He obviously hates being with him, hasn’t smiled once, and hasn’t really said anything to him either.

“I’m kinda hungry.”

Jin turned and stared at Kame in surprise, “You talk!”

He shrugged in reply, “Sorry, I just wasn’t up for much after going clubbing. I think all the music killed my brain cells.”

Jin laughed as he headed towards the kitchen to check out his refrigerator. “Hey, they didn’t cook me anything,” he whined, “What am I supposed to eat?”

“I can cook something for you if you want... We’ll call it even, since I couldn’t tutor you,” Kame answered, eying the fridge. His eyes stopped at the salmon flakes and spinach, he picked them up.

“What are you gonna do with those?”

“I’m making friend rice... I kind of like cooking.”

Jin grinned at the prospect of getting to eat Kame’s hand-cooked meal, “Want any help?”

“I’m fine. I wouldn’t want you burning anything while your parents are out.”

“What makes you think I’d do that?” Jin asked in mock outrage.

“The note on the table... I think it’s from your parents, they were warning you not to touch the kitchen and to just eat out.”

Jin went up to the table and read the note, and started laughing sheepishly, “My parents are over-reactive about stuff. That’s all.”

“Can I ask why you wanted me to tutor you? If I remember correctly, your friend...Yamashita? was at the top of your class...” Kame asked as he ran the butter nonchalantly across the frying pan, he added in the rice.

“He refuses to teach me anything... that’s why. He claims my stupidity is contagious.”

Kame laughed softly, as he added in the salmon flake and the spinach that he had boiled, “Maybe I should be glad that I can’t tutor you then.”

“Hey!” Jin protested, “I catch on just fine thank you.”

There was a pause before they both started laughing.

“Finished,” Kame announced as he put the fried rice into the bowl. He topped it with cut green onions, and handed it to Jin with a spoon.

“I want you for a wife,” Jin declared as soon as he ate the first bite, happily chomping down on his food.

“You mean meal-maker...” Kame corrected, grabbing the oolong tea in the fridge and bringing it over along with two cups.

“You know, I like you... You’re pretty funny,” Jin smiled at him, “Hey, did you want to watch something? Oh, you know, I think my parents bought a new DVD. The Ring, is that what it was called?”

Jin picked up his plate and headed to the living room, looking curiously at the DVD box. He opened it and set it in, and Kame went to go turn out the lights.

“Why’d you turn out the lights? Are you planning on doing something inappropriate?” Jin teased playfully.

“You don’t watch scary movies with the light on, do you?”

Jin immediately blanched, “Scary movie?”

-

“Nnmnn,” Yamashita groaned as he felt around for his cell phone. He forced one eye open and looked at the flashing digits on his clock...

“For Christ sake Jin, it’s one in the freakin’ morning... What is it?” he hissed as he rubbed at his eyes.

“Sadako is scary! She was huge and high-definition, and sca~ry! And...”

Yamashita cut the phone off and rolled over, trying to get back to sleep. The phone rang again, then over and over. He cursed and was just short of throwing it against the wall, “Damn it Jin! What is it?”

“I think I like him...”

Yamashita’s eyes snapped open instantly. Did Jin just confess that he liked Kame? As in love, like?

“I thought he hated me at first and that it won’t work out, but he started opening up and he’s funny. He’s really cute when you tease him and, oh, he can cook! And he said that the next time we see a movie together, we’re never watching anything horror... That’s a good sign, right? Because it means he wants to hang out with me again, right?”
