[TRANSLATION] DIAMOND♥
I know I'm not helping anyone out by translating these lyrics, but I'm an avid Japanese baseball fan so I really really wanted to translate this song even if it's already been translated or not. And absolutely no regards to it being a seriously baseball themed song. (^-^;;;)> Since this song is played a lot at Yomiuri GIANT games, it's a memorable song for me and the games that I've watched this year at the baseball stadiums♥

It's referring to having to play strategically instead of by heart. i.e. When a coach signals for a player to bunt for sure points even if that player himself is taken out, or if when he's asked not to swing for certain types of pitches and just wait until the pitcher throws their weakest.
²You The you in this song, I think, refers to the fans than a special someone. So when it says "I'll become stronger for you" it's the Yomiuri Giants becoming stronger for their fans. Likewise "When we finally reach the top, I want to laugh together with you" means when they win the championship which probably won't happen this year as much as I love the GIANTS and Sakamoto-kun, they want to laugh/celebrate together with the fans.
³18m44cm For those who don't know, DIAMOND is the image song for DRAMATIC GAME 1844, which is a program broadcasting the Yomiuri Giants games with Kame-chan as the special supporter. And per Dramatic Game 1844's website,"18m44cm is the distance between the pitcher’s mound and home base. The pitcher throws and the batter hits. Here, starts the spectacular drama known as baseball."
