Title: Anorexic?
Pairing: Akame.
Rating: PG?
Summary: Stupid, crack... Humor? Jin begins to suspect that his boyfriend is anorexic.
Notes: I think this is because of all the measurements I posted... *Random* But I noticed that my favorite model was thinner than Kame-chan was so maybe it's not fair that I call him anorexic when that word wouldn't cross my mind in regards to Jun-chan. ^-^;;;
“Anorexia, that’s the only explanation I could come up with. He’s anorexic!” Jin ranted, pacing back and forward in the dressing room.
Not entirely sure if he should be worried yet, this was the guy who came in sick with worry thinking the younger man was dying of pneumonia just because he coughed after all, Maru just watched Jin frantically run around, frustratingly running his hand through his hair.
“Who?” he finally asked, although he already knew the answer - who else would Jin practically be hyperventilating over?
“Kazu-chan! I’m telling you he’s anorexic!” Jin shouted, flailing his arms up and around to emphasize his point.
Maru quirked an eyebrow at him, “And by Kazu-chan, you mean our Kazuya? He’s not anorexic, Jin.”
Jin shot him an are-you-stupid look, “Yes, he is! He practically runs to the bathroom every time he finishes dinner, and I KNOW he’s throwing up. I could hear him. And he keeps giving me some stupid excuse that he wasn’t throwing up.”
‘It does sound like he’s anorexic,’ Maru thought, pursing his lips, a bit worried now. Funny, he could’ve sworn he saw Kame finishing off a whole bento and asking for another one just yesterday. Then again, maybe he was confusing him with Jin because that didn’t entirely sound like something Kame would do either. “Have you asked him about it?”
“He won’t talk to me! He keeps changing the conversation!”
‘Hmm... That is suspicious,’ Maru thought, getting up and stretching, “Might as well find him then.” Ah, the misery of being the oldest in the group, but hey, at least he wasn’t listening to problems about sex this time, right? Especially since Jin has a REALLY bad habit of providing a little too much detail when it came to sex and Kame?
Focusing his attention back on the search, Maru concluded that he really didn’t know where Kame was when he wasn’t with Jin, maybe he’d be talking to Taguchi if it weren’t for the fact that said person was currently engrossed in his video game. And shouts of “DIE!!!” weren’t exactly good company or helpful leads. Not that it really mattered because he soon felt himself getting swung in the other direction by Jin, who he swore had some kind of Kame-detecting radar on him because they were nowhere near Kame but Jin seemed to make his way straight to him just fine.
Kame was just walking out of the break lounge when they found him, wiping the corner of his mouth by running his thumb across his lips. And Jin couldn’t help but forget what they were here for, because how hot did his lover look when he did that, until he heard profuse coughing coming from the side of him. Tearing his gaze away from Kame’s lips, Jin noticed that Maru was now giving him very pointed looks, and Kame was staring at him skeptically as in ‘Jin, what are you doing now?’ “Oh, uh, Kazuya... We need to talk.”
Kame narrowed his eyes and looked at him questioningly, “You don’t want to break up with me, do you?”
“Huh? NO! No, it’s not something like that... it’s just,” Jin trailed off, unsure how to continue.
“We’re worrying about your eating habits,” Maru finished for him, glaring at Jin for weakening his resolve.
“My eating habits...? What about them?”
“Uh, well, Jin thinks you’re anorexic and you have to admit, it kind of sounds like you are.”
Kame scrunched his face in utter annoyance, ‘The reason for my anorexia is accusing ME of being anorexic,’ he thought with utmost sarcasm. ‘Wait, did that even make sense?’ “Excuse me!? I am NOT anorexic!”
“Don’t lie to me! You’re always throwing up after dinner!”
“I’m not lying, Jin! Don't you trust me!?”
“I would trust you if you didn’t lie to me all the time!”
“I NEVER lie to you!” Okay, that was a lie right there. Well, kind of, he only lied when it had to do with Jin and his pride, like comforting Jin and telling him he isn’t an idiot and you know that’s a complete utter lie, so that didn’t count. Not when he knew Jin would throw hissy fits at him if he told the truth, if the truth wasn’t gonna help him any, what’s the use of telling it?
“Bullshit! You know what, I’m sick of this! I’m just worried about you and you... Maybe we should just break up!” Jin shouted although as soon as he realized what he said, he was right about to get on his knees and plead with Kazuya NOT to break up with him. Only, his pride wouldn’t let him do that.
Kame just glared. Maybe he should just break up with him and save himself the trouble of jumping off a building when Jin’s stupidity finally drove him insane. It was times like this he wondered where his life went wrong although there was a nagging voice in his head telling him it was the moment he met Akanishi Jin, or fell in love with him, one or the other.
Maru sighed inwardly, like Jin would ever survive a day without Kame, “Jin, that’s not important right now!” He turned to the younger man and held him by the shoulders like he would to a little kid, “Kame, are you really chucking out your food after you eat, because that’s not...”
“Healthy?” Jin asked sarcastically. “Of course, it’s not. He’s too skinny as it is, that’s why I’m going through the trouble of cooking for him every night! And he...”
“Wait... YOU COOK FOR HIM!!!???”
Kame groaned, holding back the urge to smack himself in the head or bang his head on the wall or something. Did they really need to discuss this? It was bad enough dinner was practically inedible, the last thing he needed was for Jin to get the idea in his head to practice cooking. I mean, seriously, who else but him would ever even THINK of eating his food, and only because he was an overly kind boyfriend and loved his idiot of a lover so much, even if it ultimately meant that he’d end up ingesting more hazardous material.
“Yeah... What’s so surprising?” Jin asked, crinkling his face in confusion, and sounding as offended as he could - although he wasn’t even sure if he should be offended.
‘No wonder he’s throwing up,’ Maru thought in sardonically. He glanced over at Kame, who was frantically making weird hand gestures, probably telling him not to tell Jin that his food was totally inedible and killing him. ‘He must love him A LOT,’ Maru mused, clearing his throat with a cough. “Jin,” he started in exasperation, “he’s NOT anorexic.” He wanted to add in, ‘IT’S YOUR COOKING!!! YOUR COOKING DAMMIT!!!’ but held back. “He... I think he just doesn’t like eating so late, that really upsets your stomach you know. Well, not yours ‘cause that thing is bottomless 24/7 and all.”
“Is that what it is?” Jin asked Kame softly. ‘Was he being insensitive all this time?’ Jin pursed his lips, worriedly.
“Y... yeah. It doesn’t sit well in my stomach at night. We get out so late and...”
”Kazuya! Why didn’t you tell me!?” Jin shouted, “I’ll just cook breakfast for you from now on.”
Kame blanched, suddenly being overwhelmed by the urge to break down crying, wailing, ‘He’s trying to kill me!”
Jin completely oblivious to the sudden lack of color in his beloved’s face, skipped off happily in search for recipes that he can use for breakfast, leaving the youngest member alone with the oldest.
“Sure you’re alright?”
Kame groaned out loud, leaning against the wall dramatically, “If Jin did me a favor and didn’t get up.”
“Why don’t you slip him some sleeping pills?” Maru joked, before his face suddenly tuned serious, “Are you sure you’re holding up? Skipping out on dinner...”
“You have any idea how many stops I made to McDonalds? I think I’m gaining weight,” Kame muttered in frustration. “Trust me, I’m eating.”
Maru laughed, “I knew I saw you stealing those bentos!”
Side-Note: Okay, I looked up the difference between anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, not only because I wasn't sure of the difference between the two when people pointed out that I'm referring to bulimia but also because I felt I should know this information since I KNOW we discussed this in psychology. *Rolls eyes*
Anorexia nervosa involves intense fear of gaining weight, distorted body image, refusal to maintain normal body weight, and dangerous measure to lose weight. There are two sub-types of anorexia, a restricting type - drastically reducing their food intake and starving themselves, and binge-eating/purging type - forcing themselves to vomit, abusing laxatives or dietary supplements, or excessively exercising. So Jin supposed Kame-chan was a binge-eating/purging type anorexic.
Bulimia nervosa involves habitually engaging in out-of-control eating and making up for it through self-induced vomiting, abuse of laxtatices and dietary supplements, and excessive exercise.
So basically, I must have retained some of the information from class although I wasn't paying much attention, ne. ^-~ What a relief~ *Sighs* I just didn't know that restricting types and binge-eating/purging types were two different types of anorexia, I thought they all did both. ^-^;;; But hey, if you sat thourgh and read this, you just learned something from a fanfiction. LOL.
