Internet woes create J-drama demon
So my modem is busted and had to send it back. Currently, I am on stolen interwebs which I suppose is working well enough. Almost hate to keep paying 40 bucks to my slow, unreliable internet. ... Wonder if the contract is up soon...
Anyhoo, because of that, I was on my laptop most of the day, stolen internet of course, relaxing in bed. (WoW seems to be offlimits when the internet is stolen) Deciding that my laptop had nothing better to do, I went to torrent something. ...
Holy hell, 100-200kb/sec? Are you shitting me? My Pc, with its paid for internet, won't even get 1kb/sec. WTF? Seriously? Is the paid for internet THAT bad, or is my pc, really and truly, on her last legs?
So, with this newfound internet speed from the gods, I started downloading like mad. Thanks to Cera, I know am enjoying, and getting sucked into, j-dramas. I'm through 9 of 12 episodes of Crying out Loud from the Center of the Earth (or something like that) which has made me weep like a baby (Thanks cera. v_v), 2 episodes of One Piece Gospel, which Cera hates, but it amuses me, 1 episode of The Flower Shop with No Roses, which is very very good, and a DRAMA filled Thailand drama which I don't think I'll be continuing...
Then, feeling my tv/moniter watching wasn't enough, I scrapped up 6 bucks in change and went to see Cloverfield. I really, really liked it, but I can understand why it's not everyone's cup of tea. Around the end of it, the moving camera work was making me really sick. I left the theater feeling like I was going to lose my Ramen. If I hadn't loved the movie, it would have really pissed me off. So I sympathise with anyone unforunate enough to sit through it and not enjoy it in any form.
All in all, not much else. Still not getting many hours, so I might have to look for a temporary part time job again. 2 of my 5 credit cards are paid off, and with my tax refund and that happy check from the government for the economy, I'm hoping to pay off the other 3. If I can manage to pay them off with paychecks and the tax refund, then that other check is going to a PS3. ^_^ Here's hoping.
