[A faint blip, and the PDA turns on. Miyako's voice is somewhat distracted, but audible.]
It is theoretically possible that every universe which is sufficiently advanced to have developed computer technology could have a variation of a Digital World. Whether they actually know this is unknown. We also don't know if an alternate Earth and its Digital World would be linked the way they are in my world, to provide passage between them.
Which leads me to wonder, what would happen to the Digital World if the computer network collapsed somehow. I never really believed in Atlantis, but if it existed and if it had something like computers, could it have developed a Digital World, and when it fell...what would have happened ...
If anything happens to civilization and computer technology as we know it back home, what would that do to our Digital World...
We've theorized about different worlds, beyond Digital Worlds, for a few years now, but we haven't been able to find any solid proof of them just yet. At least not the last I'd heard. But now I know they're out there, as well as alternate versions of our own world. Places where different choices were made, as well as worlds so completely different that we could never imagine them on our own.
I'm going to make history when I get home.
[She continues on in that vein, getting more and more technical as she goes. Miyako doesn't ramble as much as she did when she was a kid, but when she does, she makes up for lost time!]
