Otakon...WTF?
So I'm going to sell prints at Otakon, but apparently they're changing their rules a bit. You can only sell up to 25 copies of one fan art picture. In fact they're encouraging people to sell artwork of their original characters. WTF? Like people go to cons to buy art of other's stupid OCs. Unless that artist is like, REALLY popular that doesn't happen. Personally I usually hate OCs XD They're always the same thing over and over. And people don't really jump for my art to begin with so why would I sell pics of my OCs...who are boring anyway. I dunno, maybe it's a good thing to only be able to have 25 of one pic...'cause honestly I'm really not expecting to sell a lot. Espesh if the oekaki board is still getting together at their own table...there might possibly some awes artists that would certainly outshine me.
Actually I don't know shit about selling prints XD I was just gonna get these printed out at Staples on shiny paper or something...but then I went to this girl's journal on DA and she had pics of her and her friend's booth at some con...and her prints were gigantic! Like 11x17, easy, maybe even 18x24. Kay, I was only gonna get them printed actual size. Plus they had keychains and buttons...this whole set up o_o;; My mind hadn't even thought that far ahead! I was banking on sharing this table with the oekaki board, so if they don't do this...I'll have all these prints to sell somehow XD I'll think of a way to advertize. If anyone has tips on selling prints or having a table in the Artist Alley, lemme know...I'd love to hear XD
Anyway, I've been really into The Office lately XD Apparently my sister loves this show, so while she was cutting my hair the other day she ordered some eps from On Demand and the next two days we just watched the entire 4th season XD It's soooo funny. We both decided the best ep was the one where Jim and Pam go to Michael and Jan's for a dinner party. God it was amazing XD
