I don't consider it a spoiler because there are no pictures, and it'll take effort to know who it is I'm talking about.

*tears* Rowling Raptor strikes!

I'm taking requests for memoriam HP icons like this one here. Feel free to leave a comment, and you can clutter this entry's comments area with spoilers. (Don't say I didn't warn you, readers!)

Finished.

Two words: Rowling Raptor. Anyone who can die, will die. Rowling didn't even spare HEDWIG and DOBBY for chrissakes.

Thank god she ended on a CLEAN note, however. What I hated about Rowling's writing in books 5 and 6 (still the worst of the lot, imo) is her tendency to ramble. The first three books showcased her ability to weave a really good mystery, and books 5 and 6 copped out by having them ramble the main plotpoints. Book 6 especially consisted of Dumbledore telling Harry EVERYTHING except for the details that could've saved him trouble in the final book. I was very disappointed by that.

Book 7 recalled the blockbuster action that made book 4 an exciting read. I have issues with Harry's vision at the end of the novel, where he finally speaks to Dumbledore -- it was like Rowling was paying tribute to her own lazy/sloppy writing of the last two books. Chapter 33 especially, I didn't need to hear Harry angst about what it means to die and all that stuff.

For the series, it seems that Rowling had winged most of the turning points. Dark!Dumbledore was not too well prepared for, in my opinion, and could've been better fleshed out from book 1, as with Snape.

Oh, 'OMG FANFICTION' award goes to the Snape/Lily pairing. *rolls eyes* I could also imagine that in anime form, with little snape going out of the bushes yelling "Anata wa WIZARD! Watashi mo!" and little Petunia screaming "Iyaaaahh! Kowai!"

Best part of the book? THIS IS HOGWAAARTTS (tm by Rotch). Can you say Battle Royale, Hogwarts style? Oh yeah.

When this reaches the big screen -- THEY BETTER NOT FUCK IT UP.

So, all this and still with time for my philo class. I bid adieu.

Dear JK Rowling, thanks for all the squids. :) It's been a fun ride.
