Expert opinions on the economic stimulus by:
Martin Feldstein (economist & Bush buddy)
N. Gregory Mankiw (economist & Bush buddy)
Bruce Carlson (long but good MP3) (historian)
Robert Reich (political scientist)
Arnold Kling (economist)
Donald Boudreaux (followup, criticism by Kling) (economist)
Len Burman (economist)
Joseph Stiglitz (also here and here) (economist)
Jason Furman (click "download" link for the full text) (economist)
Jacob Hornberger (nutbar)

Summary: Feldstein originally proposed the stimulus that passed today. Every other well-reasoned opinion I could find is very much against a stimulus. (Stiglitz and Burman both start by saying they want a stimulus, but only as rhetorical points -- the stimuli they propose are greater deficit spending and a tax increase, respectively.) Read!

PS: Guess the Nobel Prize winner on that list!
