Bliss

This piece is both inspired by the song "Bliss" by Muse, and also from a spiritual message I received the day I heard the song for the first time. It was about how loving someone or adoring them, is actually loving something in them that you desire within yourself.

If you can acknowledge that and allow yourself to feel that which you desire within yourself, you can truly free yourself from the "spell" of infatuation, and either let the person go or truly love them for the bliss that now you both share. You can look at them and go "Everything about you is how I'd be" rather than "Everything about you is how I'd *want* to be". You can see in them the feeling you now know and share together.

I wanted to draw something that embodied that feeling that I felt in another person, and expressed how I felt when I realized that I had it in me unrecognized all along. It was freedom and happiness and bliss, just like the song suggests.

Become one with that which you love in another, because we are all inherently one with each other and this kind of love is the experience of opening up all of our collective potential.

Descriptions & Credits
*First image is a rainbow halo with a chakra swirl. Sometimes when I feel magical or whatever I imagine a swirl of energy/vines/bubbles/sparkles swirling around me like this. In the background is a spiral galaxy image.

*Second image I used a supernova image and put a circular gradient on it, I then carefully colored in specific areas to make it look more 3-d and realistic. Making that was really fun! Because the supernova was already so colorful, I decided to make the halo white and leave out the chakra swirl. Rainbow would've been too redundant

*Third image is a white supernova image, with the white halo emphasizing the rainbow halo, and I included the chakra swirl. I can't make my mind up which one I like more so I have many different versions.

*Fourth image is one of the first ones I saved. I liked this one because it was more simple, yet still capture the emotion I wanted to convey. Also, the tighter halo looks more like it is emanating from the woman which is what I intended in the first place!

Girl image is actually my first vector(?) drawing. I took a photo of a girl from the torso up, pasted it onto a blank image, and drew in what I thought the lower half of her body should look like. Then I used the pen tool to outline it and so created my own image - pasted it into this image. I'm VERY proud of this! The silhouette doesn't originally have hair so I made another layer and drew in the long hair myself. In reality this is about how long my hair is, since mine touches about that far when I put my head back like that. Also it's about the same texture, thickness, and style as my hair. I like my hair XD
