大暑
The weather has been really hot and sunny recently, which is a half-welcomed change after weeks of rain. It is only half-welcomed because it gets so unbearably hot and humid at night 彼 and I have been turning on the air-con more often than we like.
The pool at our condo is really inviting though, so I went to take a dip this morning. It will be nice to make it a daily/weekly routine..
Dad is out of hospital!
My dad's recovery went smoothly, and he got discharged from the hospital yesterday! My mom and sis went to pick him up and brought him home where he is seemingly almost back to normal.
On Friday I went over to my parents' place (though my dad wasn't discharged yet) to have lunch with my mom and sis. Couldn't visit my dad since the hospital only allowed one visitor, so I decided to spend more time with my mom instead. Yuki is alot more welcoming of Bao these days though she still gets annoyed by him often.
We're now just waiting for my parents' helper to be released from her quarantine order, likely this 2 days, once she gets the results of her final covid test. It seems like she had a lovely break at the hotel, and we're happy for her~
Walk in the park
Brought Bao for a walk at Punggol Park! With a car it's been easier to go around exploring different parts of Singapore with Bao!
Covid-19
We've moved back into Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) due to the increased number of cases and huge clusters happening across Singapore. This means no more dining out, and limit of 2 person gatherings and 2 visitors per household/day.
It's kinda concerning that with the Delta variant, many of those infected are getting infected despite being vaccinated. The symptoms are relatively mild or non-existent for those vaccinted though, so I guess the benefits of being vaccinated still outweighs not being vaccinated.
Olympics 2021!
Click to viewI'm generally on the fence of whether Japan should proceed with Olympics or not, given the Covid situation, but since JP has made the decision to go ahead with it, I'm just going to enjoy watching the games, while monitoring to see how the Covid infection turns out...
I watched the opening with 彼 at my parents' place on Friday. The pictograms was really awesome!! And I'm really proud to see our Singapore flag and delegation as part of the parade!
Food
I cooked quite abit this week but forgot to take photos, so only one pic this week, white radish soup and cereal prawn cooked by 彼！
