9th Voyage!
彼 and his vessel is now back in Johor! It's kinda surreal imagining how his ship really cut across the Indian Ocean and made their way home in 60 days. Thankfully they passed by the pirates-infested Straits of Malacca with no problem within 2 days. They made precautions such as dimming the lights... at the same time, their vessel usually isn't a target for the pirates since it doens't carry any expensive goods or fuel. 彼 took photos as the ship rounded Singapore to go up to Johore on the East side. It's really a pretty scene. I always find the view of Singapore from the sea amazing because of the all the high-rise landscape.

So his ship is now at a port at Johor and the crew are preparing for an audit at the end of the month. And we're expecting him back around the 1st August!!
Yuki Hime
Yuki is finally ready to go out for walks and interactions with more people and other pups! We brought her out alot this week. My parents would bring her out in the morning while mayu and I would bring her out in the evening for a long walk. She would KO completely after her evening walk. She's very scared of people and other dogs though, her tail dropping and she would hide behind our legs... lol.. It's pretty unexpected as she is really bold at home. But I also remember the first day she came to our house, she was so shy and scared she didn't dare to move from the tile that I put her until I picked her up and gave her a tour of the house. Since then she has become quite a terrorizer on our house. But whenever we bring her somewhere new, she would freeze up and be very quiet and shy. I guess it will take her a while to warm up to other people and dogs.
We gave her a bath this week. She looks so tiny when she is wet. We bought a professional pet blower to help speed up drying her fur... because it was taking more than an hour to blow-dry her curly fur using a regular hairdryer. The godly professional pet blower cut the time down to a third, and she didn't dislike it as much as the hair dryer because it was quieter.
Also got to try out the electric trimmer I bought 2 weeks ago. First time playing with trimmer, but it was really easy to use. We trimmed the hair around her paws so it is easier to clean after her walks. Pardon the uneveness, will need more practice to get it looking more even XD
Manicure!
More than a month since my last manicure. My nails have turned really short because (1) I kept picking at them from the stress of teaching my new coordinator... (2) Long nails get into the way of bouldering, so I've been keeping them short.
Monday was a Japan public holiday so I left work early and went to get my manicure done. I've alays wanted to do blue, so I finally got it... and the conclusion is it doesn't really suit me. I think pink and nude shades still suit me better, so I'll probably go get another done before 彼 comes back.
Games
I'm so busy playing Lords Mobile... but E and AT got me back into Pokemon Go after like 2 years hiatus.. and it was awesome. mayu and I ran all over Vivo City yesterday to raid all the gyms for Zaptos yesterday during their event.
And then mayu also got me hooked onto Walking Dead: The World.. Another AR game that requires lots of walking.... how am I gonna juggle these 3 games ;x

mayu and I cooked Tonkatsu Sarada Udon (Pork Cutlet Salad Udon). It's something we first ate and love when we were on a 6 weeks summer program to Kyushu University back in 2006. The canteen at the university served this really cooling and awesome dish combining cold udon, salad and tonkatsu, and it was so good! So with some pork cutlet that mayu bought back from the Japanese Association sale last week, we breaded the pork and fried it, sliced up some cabbage ( in retrospect we should have just bought pre-made coleslaw salad so it will be finer), boiled udon, added udon sauce and tada~
Vegetarian 梅菜扣肉 from Nature Cafe. It's a vegetarian restaurant so that's mock meat. Wasn't very good though.
