秋高气爽

Beautiful Autumn

Clear blue skies. The phrase 秋高气爽 always comes to my mind when I wake up to a beautiful clear cool day. This is taken from my dorm, and I have to admit that I really love the view. Our dorm is located on a hill, and the area around us is all hilly as well, so the houses are all built on slopes/steps. It's a really pretty view and I really appreciate it because we don't see this in Singapore. ⇒ ①No hills in Singapore ②Few landed properties/low-rise buildings in Singapore.. It's all high-rise buildings in Singapore.

The leaves in Keio university are slowly turning yellow~ Still cant beat Hokkaido University's ginkyo avenue XD

I'm so going to miss Japan's seasons and nature when I go back to Singapore. I have 95 days left in Japan, if I leave on my contract day 18th February. Less if I go back before Chinese New Year (maybe around 13th February). My return date is till unconfirmed as I'm still waiting for the company to decide if I will be bringing my current tasks or any project back to Singapore. If yes, I likely will stay till 18th Feb. If not I will most likely request to go back to Singapore earlier to spend CNY with my family.

With this remaining 95 days, I will fulfill approximately 4 years in Japan, counting my 1 year in Hokkaido and 1 year in Kobe. It's been a blessing to have the chance to study/work/live overseas. No surprise that as the amount of time I have left in Japan decreases, I find myself already missing Japan and its seasons. lol But there's more to look forward to going home - getting married, our wedding, buying house, moving in together. And one day surely 彼 and I can enjoy the seasons together in Japan or some other part of the world.

8th Voyage
彼's voyage has been pretty uneventful so far. Internet connection had been pretty poor so we hadn't been able to video chat much. Plus, because of the time difference and the shifts he is assigned this time, the period of time when we're both awake and not working is actually quite little. So for now we get to msg a little in the morning when I wake up and on my way to work. That however is also his slightly busier time preparing to end his shift. By the time his shift end I've started work, but I'll still try to msg him a little. He sleeps while I'm at work, and wakes up around the time I get home. We video chat while I'm having dinner and he has his lunch and prepare for his shift. And then when he starts his work we'll continue to msg a little until I go to sleep, and he works though my night. Thankfully, he will likely be changing to the other shift in early/mid Dec so our waking hours will be more in sync.

Welcome Steamboat

B and MQ arrived last week. We had a welcome steamboat on Saturday. 9 of us. Mala base and Tonkotsu base~

Mitake-san hike

Sunday, YT and I decided to go for a hike at Mitake-san. It's my 3rd trip to Mitake but I really love Mitake-san because it is really so beautiful and full of nature.

Mayuko joined us too but realized she was having her period immediately after we took the cable car to the top of the hill. She get's really moody, depressed and pains whens she's having her period, so she decided to just go home first. We were ok with it and just made sure she sent us a msg to let us know she got home safely.

Alot of wolf/dog? statues around because the shrine is dedicated to wolves/dogs and a spirit/god o-inu-sama.

First stop is to nagaodaira observatory. Pass by a small shop with wonderful smelling coffee and hikers cooking delicious smelling cup noodles...

Very nice view from the observatory

Hiking to 七代の滝 waterfall. It's a very steep and rocky descent.

So tall the trees

Games
I'm recently addicted to Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links~
It brings me back to the days when mayu and I were huge fans of Yu-Gi-Oh and even wrote a BL KaibaxJou fanfic on it XD our glorious days of fangirling.. lol

Still on hiatus for FFXIV... I suspect I won't be playing it until I get back to Singapore.

mayu invited me to join her and han for L4D2 yesterday... which I immediately remembered why I didn't play the game even though 彼 installed it on my computer previously from his steam account... It made me want to puke.. I get simulation sickness from playing FPS games.. The same reason made me stop playing Fallout4 even though I really really love Fallout series. haiz

Food

Home cooked - kimchi noodles. Home cooked soup - basically threw in cabbage, turnip, tomato and pork~

Canteen food. I keep forgetting to take photos of canteen food.
