7th Voyage
Another week will mark our 5 years 5 month anniversary, as well as 彼's 3rd month on this voyage. We still aren't sure yet what are the plans for him for now - whether he will continue to stay on the ship or return home. But things will work out either way ;3

Wedding Preparations
I still haven't contacted the bridal salons, because I feel they will just ask us to visit them to view the dresses and discuss the packages... so I'll probably put this abit later until we can confirm when 彼 and I are going back to Singapore.

Meantime for venues.

☆Ban Heng Pavillion @ Harbourfront
⇒We got more photos of the ballroom, and it looked a little older with a not very ideal layout. The walk-in is very short, and instead of from the back, it is actually from the side.
⇒Ban Heng advised us to consider their other branches as well as we might not be able to reach their minimum of 20 tables for Ballroom A. So I will email Bang Heng @ Cathay and Orchard Central later, since overall, we still love the food menu and prices for Ban Heng.

☆Grand Shanghai - Love their Shanghaitang theme!
⇒Prices a bit steep, close to Peony Jade.. Both places we like because of their red Shanghai theme

☆Qian Xi - no reply -.-

☆Orchid Country Club - Love their Emerald Suite! It's a beautiful ballroom. Can take up to max 20 tables. Not sure how the food is like though.

☆Imperial Court @ Grassroot Club - no reply -.-

☆Tung Lok - Minimum 20 tables. Might not be considering.
Promotion Exam
I've been busy the last 3 weeks with my promotion essay and interview. Our company grades employee from 1-5. Freshgrads join as 1 and get promoted to grade 2 automatically within 1 year if their performance is satisfactory. I joined directly as a grade 2 because I had prior work experience before joining the company. For promotion to grade 3 and above, we have to undergo an exam which includes a written essay on what we can/hope to achieve as the promoted grade employee, and an interview with the top bosses.

Our Singapore side takes this as serious business. We spent 2 weeks writing out essays, refining it over and over again with our boss checking through out essay to make sure we're writing in the correct direction (he does not provide us the contents just guides us in the direction). And then I had 4 web conference with him to go through mock interviews in English and Japanese. In the end I did the interview in Japanese anyway since I felt like my English had probably gone to hell after coming to Japan.

The interview was on Friday. It was short, quick and went smoothly. Thank goodness for AT who accompanied through lunch until before the interview. More thanks to my sis who helped me check my essay, my SG boss for his effort, my direct supervisor in Japan who didn't have to, but gave me advice and tips on preparing for the interview. Roommate PS, and senpais AT, E also gave alot of advice on the interview and essay~

We're still waiting for the results... Hope everything goes well~

女子会~ Farewell to my senpais

PS, AT and I went for yakiniku at our favorite yakiniku place Peking at Musashi-kosugi. It is still one of the best yakiniku I've ever had. XD

Yesterday, we had a 7 person 女子会 in PS room - me, PS, AT, E, SM, Hara-san and Samantha. Samatha is PS' JC classmate working for a game company in Japan while Hara-san is our colleague who previously worked in Singapore for a few years before coming back to 本社. So yep! We are a whole bunch of powerful, smart, gaming otaku girls working in game companies. XD
We had 2 pots - Tomato soup and mala!! The mala was sooo shiok~~~

Hara-san brought cake and I cooked tangyuan for dessert while the girls played with AT's Switch~ It's pretty cool. If 彼 and I have our place, I would love to buy a console to fight it out lol

A walk down Harajuku & Akiba

E, AT and J were going to Eorzea cafe, so I joined them again. Dropped by H&M and Gong Cha at Harajuku before joining them. SM told me that H&M had this recycle policy where they gave out vouchers for recycling old clothes. I researched abit and found that they give out a 500yen vouched for each bag of old clothes. It can be just one clothing, and it can be any brand - not necessary H&M. The voucher can be used on the next purchase of 3000yen and above!

Eorzea Cafe! I'm eating too much good food~

J's luck is super good. He and E won the lucky draw first prize - huge honey toast parfait on their earliest visit. On the last visit which they invited me and AT along to eat the honey toast parfait, they won the 2nd prize - a limited edition poster. And this time, they won the 3rd price - catuar can badge lol

Poster for the day, and colletion of coaster for the day.

My entire coaster collection.

For 3rd year anniversary, they are also givig out this character stand? which E and I both ostracised because we prefered Alphinauld's stronger, lovely sister.

After that we walked around Akiba for E, AT and J to check out console games. It's also at this point I discovered that PC games in Japan basically refers to Adult games -,- So I probably caused abit of stress to the guys on the floor when I went up to walk around the PC game section ... lol ok. sticking to Steam. \

It's 歩行者天国 so the roads are closed to traffic. And we stumbled across an area where everyone were standing still with their eyes on phone and hands tapping away.. And we knew.. Pokemon Go! lol Major raid spot.. because Articuno!

E helped me catch it with a curve ball on the first try! XD

By the time we left Akiba, it was almost 7. We got back to Myorenji and had Katsu at a cozy little showa style family restaurant. First time there. Their fried tofu salad is awesome!

Food

Canteen food.

Soup, egg and croquette for friday because I was so nervous about the interview that was right after lunch hour I didn't dare to eat much. After the interview, once calmed down I was starving the entire afternoon and went out for ramen dinner with AT and SM.

Salad dinners~
