1 more days and I'll be back in the warm loving arms of 彼! Back to the comforts of home~ the good food my parents (mainly dad) cook, and my cute little Bobby!~~~
Really cant wait to get home.
My next post will probably be back from Singapore if I have time to write it, or after I get back to Japan.
It's been raining almost the whole week. But I love the rain coz the weather is cooling, and I really like watching the drizzle. It's like snowflake falling. Back in Hokkaido, I would sit at the window of my dorm and watch the snow fall slowly. It was so pretty.
Work
I'm free!! I'm free from work for 2 weeks!!
Work had been really busy this few weeks leading up to my home leave because I had to try to finish as much work as I could before going back. One of my main tasks now is to create ingame announcements so I had to prepare them in advance and try to have as much done as possible so as not to cause too much trouble to my colleagues. They are really nice about it though but I feel bad coz 2 weeks is long, and I am handling a lot of tasks right now... Kind of happy though because having more tasks assigned means that the team trusts me and I'm part of the project's 戦力~ But I think this 2 weeks will be a well-deserved break ~ :3
It's been 7 months since I came to Japan. And gosh, time really flies so fast... Winter turned to Spring, Spring turned to Summer, and now Summer is turning to Autumn. Tokyo/Yokohama's been battered by typhoons this few days. The rain caused the temperature to drop to a nice cooling 20-27 degrees which is really awesome, except some nights it drop to below 20 which was abit cold, but just nice with a warm blanket. Only 1 year and 5 months more to go... Now that I'm more acclimatized to life/work in Japan, I'm really starting to quite enjoy my stay here, so gonna make the best for the next 17 months before going home for a new phase in life :3
Parents Visit
My parents joined a tour group with their friends for a cruise trip in Japan. So they flew in to Haneda on the 9th and boarded the cruise. The cruise travelled to Nagoya, through the Seto inland sea, Nagasaki, Busan before returning to Yokohama.
On Sat morning, I went to meet them at Yokohama Osanbashi port. First time there, the place is really beautiful.
Nice cooling breeze. The weather was good. Sunny with clouds and no rain.
Diamond Princess. My dad can walk short distances with the help of a walker very very slowly so most of the time he is still in a wheelchair. So cruise trip was good for him. My dad loves talking to people so he seemed to really enjoy himself with this trip, making friends and chatting with people on board.
Since he couldn't walk much and needed to lie down every now and then (and they had 2 luggages), I got us a 3 hours package at Yokohama's Manyo Onsen Club that included a private room.
Inside the Club. The one thing I forgot to take into account was that it was a Japanese style tatami room with futon but no bed and my dad couldn't get up from the ground. But they had a big, almost bed-size table so I put the futon on the table and my dad could sleep on it while my mom and i went for onsen. The club was quite nice, with wide coridoors that were pretty wheel-chair friendly.
After soaking in the onsen, my mom and I headed back to the room and had a extravagant lunch with my dad~We ordered abit too much though.
My mom bought me mooncakes from Singapore!!
After that, we took a cab down to YCAT. I had planned to go to the airport with them since my mom would need to help my dad with his wheelchair and 2 luggage bags, but the were flying from Narita.. which is like 2 hours away.. so in the end I just saw the off at YCAT. But knew they would be ok too since the bus staff and airport staff would surely help them along too.
They reached the airport safely and met up with their fellow group tour mates (their friends) who helped my mom with the luggage eventually :3

I watched
Kimi no Na wa! Big fan of Makoto Shinkai. So far the only one I hadn't got to watch yet is his previous movie 言の葉の庭.. Can't find anywhere watch it TwT
Kimi no Na wa was really good. Tears quite a few times through the show.
Watch Kimi no Na wa (subtitled)
here.
声の形
It's based on a manga about a bully-turned-bullied after everyone in his elementary school class turned back on him when the school found out about the bullying. Years later, he meets his deaf victim again~

The storyline was pretty shocking in the middle. I wish the manga/movie could have ended nicer though.
Tokyo Game Show
I got a free weekend ticket from our company. Since we're game development, we could get business tickets, but I knew I would be super busy with work right before heading back to Singapore (plus people taking the company's business tickets have to submit a report to the company), I actually planned to buy my own non-business weekend ticket. But when the top boss learned that me and K didn't apply for the business trip, he immediately got his secretary to find out why we didn't apply for it (he felt we should since we had never been to it, and that it is a rare chance). After explaining, he got his secretary to buy us weekend tickets. lol
Well that's 1000 yen saved, and no need write report.
So KK, J and I headed out to TGS 2016 on Sunday morning! Some of our fellow people on secondment went super early so they could get in and try the game experiences... especially since the focus is on VR this year. The 3 of us slackers took our own sweet time and only arrived at Makuhari Messe before noon. (it's almost 2 hours to get there from our dorm).
Super crowded. We split ways once we got there because we had different plans.

the ski doesn't seem that real. The guy seemed to have a hard time controlling, and no matter how I looked, the way he controlled doesnt seem to match with the slope.
More VR.
