Okay, Portland Miyavi fans...I am not sitting online cuz I need to bask in the GREATNESS that was tonight's show. However, I KNOW some of you have a set list (in order, I hope?) for the amazingness that just ended two hours ago.
Under the cut are my post-concert thoughts...which ramble, and a video of additional thoughts so you can SEE how this concert affected me. :D
Cameras weren't allowed at the show, which sucked. Got over that, however. It was at the Roseland in Portland, and we bought balcony seats...and they ended up moving from the upstairs stage to the little teeny one downstairs, so no balcony. Before the show, I was smooshed in-between loads of crazed fangirls (I love you all, though! I just couldn't see! *wink*), and I am only 5'0" tall sooo, that wasn't working...I was PISSED about not having a balcony seat cuz of that, so my husband and I went to the 21+ area and stood at the side of the bar and omg, WE COULD SEE AND IT WAS AMAZING. Words can NOT express how fantastic this show was.
There were only maybe 250 people? 350? Sorry, I suck at estimating. Still processing. Dear god...my voice is gone from screaming/singing. :DDDDDDD
Soooooo, yes. Basically, Miyavi just went absolutely balls-crazy for two straight hours, and his drummer was bloody INSANE too. Miyavi was ROCKING it, making weird/hot faces and expressions and playing the guitar behind his back, up in the air, sideways, swinging from the chandeliers (okay, maybe not that last bit). And that guy's guitar skills are INSANE. I already knew that, but HOLY CRAP, dude. AMAAAAAZING guitarist.
He was saying how we're all like family, and that he loves us and his baby loves us, and that he hopes to come back soon, etc. At one point, he imitated a stereotypical Japanese accent and he said something to the effect of, "I am, uh, from JAPAN-a!" like how an American would try to talk Japanese, and it was bloody brilliant cuz that is NOT his accent. He kept having us scream his name and we all fucked up when he wanted us to sing Funky Monkey with him...haha, anyway.
Mind frazzled. No pics...like I said. He was just being all sweet, saying that between now and when we see him next, he hoped the time wasn't hard, but to "be strong! *taps his chest over his heart* Be strong!" It was adorable.
ENERGY ENERGY ENERGY is how I sum it up. That guy...is nuts. In a great way. He's BEAUTIFUL and TALENTED and AMAZING and oh my god, he is FANTASTICALLY PHENOMENAL. :D
Here is my video rambling, if that above wasn't enough for you (made for my youtube subscribers, so ignore the Nick Cave random statements):

But yes, a set list would be great from this show. :D ROCK IT!
