I should be jumping up and down, all excited about my brother's wedding, which is this afternoon, but instead I'm shocked and worried. There's been a giant earthquake (7.1 of magnitude) in Christchurch, New Zealand. Christchurch, where I spent the three best month of my life three years ago. I've seen some
photos of the destruction, and it's so weird to see these streets that I know in such a state.
I've sent e-mails to the people I still know living there, asking them if they're alright, but since it's the evenin now for them I might not receive any answer bbefore the morning, which is tonight here, which mans very very late when I come back from my brother's wedding. Tough they're saying there weren't a lot of serious injuries, thank God.
Damn it! This was supposed to be a good day!
ETA: As for now there are no reported casualties, and only two people severely injured, which is a fraking miracle. The sheer amount of destruction in the city center is shockingly impressive though.
