It's been a REALLY~~~~ long time since I last update my lj.. the RL had been conquering my attention for the time being, but it's all for the good cause I should say ^^ as I've started to work for about two months now, thus I think that I want to dedicate this post on my experience at work "despite only two months at work, I may have tonnes of things to talk about ngeeee ^0^"
stating the fact, I've worked as a substitute teacher at SJKC Sam Yoke for the past two months and finishing my job about a week ago.. there, I'm teaching students with
learning disabilities.. some of the kids are children with autism, down syndrome, hyperactive, and slow learners. when I got the offer to teach them, I was really scared and nervous.. not only I don't have any basic knowledge in teaching the children with special needs, I also never have any experience dealing with this special people.. plus, I only know that I'm going to teach the special needs children three days before I start the work
despite all the sweats, tears, and nervousness, it's proven to be an amazing experience..
in my school, there are 20 children and all of them are just so precious as gems...all of the children love to be spoiled, and that is something that melts me.. I remember the first day I'm with them where it happens to be a raya celebration in that school, I can't control my tears to see how the children are putting their utmost efforts to do a simple fashion show in front of their teacher and parents.. it just breaks my heart in the way that I can't really explains *pardon me if it sounds mushy ^0^*
then, my real works as a teacher STARTO!!! i'm teaching three subjects: self management skills, morale study, and science.. however, as what had been explained to me, the main focus as a teacher here is to make sure that the children can do daily chores and manage themselves without the help of other people... it's not an easy task, I should say... seven years before they start to school, the children have been too comfortable being helped by their parents and guardians in everyday life.. therefore, it's really hard to take them out from their comfortable zone.. but, I really respect the other teacher in my school.. with only 5 teachers and one assistant to take care of 20 students who can't really manage of themselves, the work is a really big challenge to both mental and physical..
these are some of the students and the teachers in my school.. this pic was taken on the Hari Anugerah Cemerlang celebration..
and on my last day, there are students who gave me presents.. awww~~ how adorable can they be??? it is just so sweet..
this is the first present I got from siblings Yong Wui Deck and Yong Wui Lok.. the brother, Wui Lok is autism and his brother, Wui Deck is a slow learner.. but both of them can manage themselves and they're the only students who can actually having some decent communications with me.. and the younger brother is a really good dancer, esp b-boy dance.. how cool is that!!!! their present came with a little handmade card with some drawings in there.. hahaha so cute <333
then I got bottle of splash cologne from a down syndrome lil girl name Soh Li Hui.. she is sooo small, sooo adorable and a very sweet little girl.. she love to be spoiled very much, and she love to hug everyone.. but, she's really shy in front of strangers.. here's the pic of her when she finally allow me to snap the camera!!
and the last one is a plushie of the infamous angry birds given to me by David Kok. actually, he is the last one to get close to me.. every time I go into his class and trying to teach something, he will yell "I hate you", "I angry you" to me.. so I thought, this boy will never like me but it all change when I strart to play Choo Choo Train with them when I relief for other absent teacher.. since then, David will say "teacher, let's play choo choo train " when I go into his class.. hehe yes, the students prefer to play than learning verrrryy much ^--^
I don't really familiar with all the 'angry birds' thingy, so I don't know if this bird already have its name.. but I have give it another name already.. I call him Mr O'Beak rainbow cookies for those who know the meaning of the name hahaha..
AND~~ i really love this pic.. this is David Kok.. this is taken on the last day of school at the school hall.. after he looked at this pic, David just LOL and I don't know why hehehe ^0^
after two months as a teacher, I've started to work at income-tax office now for the next four month except if I have offer of permanent job at the other place.. I've only started for a week, so can't really adapt myself yet, but hope everything is going to be better..
this post has getting really long already.. and I really don't know what to do for Riida's birthday yet.. need to think of something before this day end!!!
soree jaa mata ashita!!!!!!
