fucking hell
i just had one of the worst experiences of my life thanks to waffle
i have NO IDEA what the hell happened. i came into my room. sat down at my desk. penny was sitting next to me/under my chair. waffle came in the room and just fucking attacked her. they usually get along great. they adore playing with each other.
i pulled waffle off of penny and penny was crying so bad. then the blood started pouring. i shoved waffle out of my room and slammed the door as penny jumped on my bed and blood was spewing and gushing from under her chin. she kept running around my bed and i couldn't get her to get still so blood went all over my walls, bed, floor, chair, clothes, EVERYTHING. i finally got her and my dad ran in with a towel and i just held it to her neck. the towel was soaked instantly. the first time i lifted up that towel to look and saw the blood coming out, i vomitted. it was so gross. ughguhguhghslkjhfglhkj. oh, and then penny shit and vomitted because she's terrified of my dad for some reason and he was in there cleaning up the blood off of my bed/walls.
i held towels on her neck for 45 minutes. the blood slowed down. my mom finally got home at this point so my parents could take her to the emergency vet. i have no idea how bad the wound is since her fur is black and thick. after i vomitted from seeing that blood, there was no way i could handle taking a closer look. but my parents couldn't see any big gaping wounds, so i am assuming waffle's tooth punctured a vein or something.
i am sure penny will be fine after seeing the vet. she was walking around just fine when i took her out to the car. also: this makes me wonder why people train dogs to do this? to fight, to injure each other, to get blood everywhere. it's so fucking awful and disturbing.

EDIT: my mom just called. penny is going to be just fine. it's a puncture wound that should heal up just fine without stitches. they gave her some antibiotics to take for a few days.
