Remember my first online music store
I was reading I will make you a mix tape's instagram post and for some reason I was remembering the years before Amazon.
There was a site called CD connection. They had everything. Rock Reggae Jazz you name it! I ordered from them often. Sadly after lock down they closed up shop. Around that time someone told be about amazon and amazon cards and how they work. The rest is history!
I know who Ken is now! Around 2011 Someone told me that they had used CDs in Point Antique Pavilion! There was this one booth with alot of CDs marked Ken under the price tag. This booth had good CDs in it and all in good condition! I always wondered who this Ken guy was. A retired DJ? Someone purging his collection? Neither Just a guy who buys record and CD collections and sells them at the antique mall!
Last month someone gifted me a large collection of CDs. I had most of them so I asked around to see who would buy them.
Mike From Ocean County Music referred me to the antique mall. I filled up a reusable bag full of CDs and took them down to the antique mall! met Ken and he looked through them and gave me $20.00! I figured that was a dollar a CD but its $20.00 I didn't have before so its all good.
I have another batch too. Hopefully those doubles will find a happy home where they are played and appreciated.
