Ability
Ability. What a word. It can mean so many things because you can apply to everything. To have ability. To do what? Ability to do wrong or to do good. Ability to fix mistakes or to rip shit up. Ability to get rid of a clog in your sink or to cause it. There are few words that can be used for every action. I think ability is one of them.
Ability is also a choice word. Maybe that's why it can be applied to anything. People being able to do something or not rarely has anything to do with others. Anyway. I just thought about this morning when I was looking at my nails. I know it sounds very shallow. A picture of me staring at my nails in the morning and suddenly cue the music a feeling of great pride and accomplishment overcomes me. Why? Because now I have the ability to do my own gel nails. I'm no longer a slave to the salons. When they break I can fix them myself instead of driving across town and paying for a repair. It feels nice to know that I have choices and the reason that I have choices is because I decided to change my ability. That can be applied to everything.
